What you will do
- Perform research, assessments and technical evaluations of AI models, methods and frameworks to solve problems or derive benefit to company AI capabilities and generative AI program
- Conduct feasibility studies and create working proof of concepts for use-cases by exploring applications of AI to internal problems and datasets to de-risk AI engineering delivery
- Proactively scan and keep up to date with AI research
- Support the creation of intellectual property
- Develop and implement methodologies, benchmarks, toolkits for different AI approaches.
- Collaborate with data science and AI community on joint projects and investigations
- Work within an integrated manner with teams operating within agile frameworks
- Assist in technical training and knowledge sharing
- Senior members would have leadership of one or more AI domains and a small team of AI scientists and researchers, and be expected to play a role of active mentorship
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have
- B.S. or M.S. in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field. PhD highly regarded but not necessary
- At least 10 years of experience working with model training and deployment
- Proficiency in GenAI, deep learning, NLP, CV and ML frameworks, other AI disciplines regarded useful
- Hands-on code development experience and familiarity with the python scientific computing stacks
- Understanding of artificial intelligence research landscape and ability to review research publications
- Ability to communicate and express technical viewpoints to senior stakeholders with succinctness and clarity
- Experience developing algorithms in Python or C/C++. Knowledge of transformer-based models a plus
- Domain knowledge in pharmaceutical business areas such as research, clinical, manufacturing, commercial and corporate functions highly regarded
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience. PhD in a related field or equivalent practical experience not essential but highly regarded
