The Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Security and Sustainability (CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working on material management within a cloud service provider.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 5+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 4+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in managing large datasets including building power BIs.

Responsibilities
  • You will develop and influence moderately complex supply plans. You’ll also conduct analysis and determine “what-if” scenarios impacting supply and demand management, and help lead contingency plans and impact assessments.
  • You will apply strategy for determining the best operating model for optimizing service levels, costs, and inventory positioning. You’ll also collaborate with the team in developing the strategy for transferring materials, builds, and shipments
  • You will work directly with our manufacturing partners to ensure materials, tooling and test fixtures are in place to meet schedule. This includes:
    • Meeting regularly with assigned suppliers to review forecasts, capture supply commitments and publish internally.
    • Coordinating internally with Engineering, Sourcing and Capacity Planning to ensure new products are properly forecasted.
    • Developing risk analysis to compare pre-positioning of inventory against design change possibilities to reduce liability and assure supply.
    • Performing scenario analysis to understand impact of component shortages and demand changes to our overall supply plan.
  • You will serve as an expert in tools and processes for managing supply and driving improvements, summarizing complex systems and guiding standardization. You’ll also manage data sources for analyzing supply, oversee the creation of dashboards to present analysis, and design data management processes.
