Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation.

  • OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation

  • OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 11+ years technical experience in network design, deployment, and troubleshooting
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, OR related field AND 8+ years technical experience in network design, deployment, and troubleshooting
  • OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, OR related field AND 6+ years technical experience in network design, deployment, and troubleshooting
  • OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, OR related field AND 3+ years technical experience in network design, deployment, and troubleshooting
• 1+ year(s) experience delivering network designs into production and experience with live site accountability for a network
• 5+ years of network engineering experience in an online services, internet service provider, cloud provider or large enterprise environment - delivering network designs into production and experience with live site accountability for a network
• CCNP/JNCIP/CCIE certifications
• Experience with traffic engineering solutions such as RSVP-TE, Segment Routing
• 2+ years of professional software development experience in the networking domain, including Python, YAML, and workflow systems
• 5+ years experience with routing protocols such as: ISIS, BGP, and MPLS technologies
• 2+ years of network engineering experience in an online services, internet service provider, cloud provider or large enterprise environment
• 1+ year experience developing programs using Python, or other programing languages
• 4+ years experience with routing protocols such as: ISIS, BGP, and MPLS technologies

• Specializing on the WAN, the engineer will gather requirements, develop innovative solutions, prototype them in a physical and emulated lab environment, pilot it in production, document and operationalize the chosen solution.
• Resolve live site issues by troubleshooting complex network components and features.
• Lead customer-facing and critical troubleshooting efforts under time sensitive situations.
• Writing drivers and abstraction layer for deploying new routing features across the network, enabling fast deployment and quality operations.
• Support innovation and cost management by developing new ideas for network systems and tools that meet customer and/or business needs.
• Take your ideas from design to production – own it end to end.
