Your responsibilities:

  • Own the design development of mechanical components of medical device systems.
  • Create drawings, BOM’s, and other design outputs.
  • Collaborate with team members to translate customer needs into product requirements and design specifications.
  • Develop test methods for evaluating product requirements and design specifications.
  • Write and execute protocols/reports for Design Verification.
  • Provide clear communication to stakeholders.
  • Assist Packaging, Labeling, Manufacturing, and Supplier Engineering/Quality teams to commercialize proposed design.
  • Work cooperatively with Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing on complex projects to ensure project success.
  • In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to all documented quality processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Biomedical
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 or more years of experience OR Master’s Degree with 2 or more years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent MS Office suite skills.
  • Experience with medical device or regulated industry design control process and documentation (i.e. Windchill).
  • Experience with SolidWorks, working with suppliers, and/or type testing.
  • Experience with machined, sheet metal and/or injection molded component design for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping technology to accelerate proof of concepts.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems.
