IP Solutions Architect

The Customer Solutions Architect acts as a trusted advisor partnering with the customers on their needs. Understands and captures the critical inputs of stakeholders and translates them into effective requirements and solutions. Specifies and designs effective end-to-end solutions incl. customer-specific adaptations by using the Nokia portfolio of products, systems and / or services as well as 3rd party products where required. Applies solution architecture standards, processes, and principles to create and maintain a solution's (technical) integrity over time.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Develop customer specific architecture in dedicated area of competence and contributes to strategic decisions within professional area.
  • Identify the Business Groups involved and coordinates cross-BG activities for solution development.
  • Work closely with Design Engineers to translate requirements into effective end-to-end solutions including multi-disciplined services, meeting complex customer – business, operational, functional, health, safety, and regulatory needs profitably.
  • Identify problems, and risks early, including integration within customer’s environment and explicitly highlights obstacles and propose actions to address them.
  • Assist in identifying options and prioritizing trade-offs such as lead time, cost, and quality. Develops the full scope of the solution, working across organizations to achieve workable end-to-end solutions.
  • Act as a professional leader for staff / work team / taskforces, who serves as best practice resource within own organizational unit and / or is recognized as an expert within the same professional area in the business.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience with designing, integrating, and troubleshooting IP networks.
  • Knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, routing protocols (i.e. OSPF, BGP, ISIS, SR, etc.), MPLS, QoS, Multicast, Data Center, Security, OAM.
  • Good understanding of E2E architecture and workflows for different networks such as Mobile Infrastructure, GPON/XGSPON, Private LTE/5G, FWA and Data Centers
  • Very good communication skills and willingness to learn and advance your career on both technical and non-technical expertise.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Advanced IP/MPLS training/certification (Nokia SRA, Cisco CCxx, Juniper JNCIxx).
  • Previous exposure to Nokia routing portfolio such as 7750, 7705 and 7250.
