WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Draft, review, and negotiate professional services agreements, statements of work, and related documents with customers and partners
- Create and maintain standardized templates for professional services agreements and related documents to improve efficiency and consistency
- Collaborate with the Commercial GTM, Product,and Services teams to support the development and launch of new service offerings
- Provide legal guidance on new offerings, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
- Advise internal teams on legal risks and provide practical solutions to support business objectives
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Professional Services, Finance, and Procurement
- Provide guidance on service-related terms such as scope definition, deliverables, and IP ownership
- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices affecting professional services engagements
- Triage a heavy workflow, setting appropriate priorities with internal clients and delivering results efficiently
- Manage agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 6+ years of in-house experience isrequired, technology company experience is preferred (law firm experience, partnered with in-house experience will also be considered)
- Knowledge ofProfessional Servicesand experienced handling and dealing with Professional Services related questions when negotiating agreements isrequired
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in at least one U.S. state, with a demonstrated record of success as a lawyer
- Strong “business-friendly” style that comes with an understanding that the legal team’s primary purpose is to support the growth and success of the business
- Ability to structure, draft and negotiate a high volume and broad range of contracts, including SAAS contracts, professional services agreement, partner agreements and NDAs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to advocate for a position while maintaining a collaborative and open-minded approach
- Ability to work independently on a remote basis and as a member of a team
- Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems
