The current opening is within the Global Private Bank (GPB) team in Mumbai which forms part of the Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) LOB within GF&BM India.

Role Responsibilities:

As the Product Control professional in our Asset & Wealth Management, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm

You will spend each day driving solutions for the Wealth Management business. Your position will be an individual contributor in Global Private Bank(GPB) in the Product Control team in India, supporting the global structure.

The main tasks include:

  • Trade reconciliations with Corporate & Investment Banking [CIB] and Asset Management [AM] on different products to calculate the revenues for the month for GPB.
  • Liaising with CIB/AM Product controller / financial controller / Middle office / Tech teams for various trade reconciliation and Revenue settlement.
  • Liaising with WM Legal Entity Controller and Financial Controller for Accrual Booking/ Cash Settlements and Ageing.
  • Posting management reporting entries (MIS), facilitating revenue share postings in the ledger & Ledger vs MIS for Unrec.
  • Follow ups on outstanding receivables with Internal & external counterparties.
  • Preparing accruals for Management fees related to Hedge Funds & Private Equity Funds. Preparing Private Equity commitment books and fee schedules basis Engagement letter.
  • Support internal & external audits. Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and global managers, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification: CA or an MBA in Finance is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of Finance experience, preferably in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller background. Private banking product and business understanding /experience would be preferred.
  • Advanced Tableau dashboarding, Excel and PowerPoint skills, preferably with experience of Hyperion Essbase, Alteryx, Python, SQL and MS Access.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills. Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal & written) with ability to articulate complex issues clearly to internal clients and senior management.
  • Sound judgment, professional maturity and personal integrity towards handling highly sensitive and confidential information, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented individual with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Candidate must be comfortable with frequently changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate team oriented, inquisitive, critical thinking, positive attitude and solutions oriented mindset with intellectual curiosity to be able to think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Detail oriented individual with the ability to work well under pressure, handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues and stakeholders, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically
