Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Blue Studio is IBM’s internal creative team, responsible for the strategic evolution and expression of the IBM brand across every experience and encounter, internally and externally. We sit within IBM’s Marketing function, representing and supporting all IBM businesses, both horizontally and vertically. Our work crosses nearly every category of output: research and strategy, communications and content development, symbology and systems, digital and physical experiences, and tools and training. Our goal is to maintain modernity, sophistication, and tangibility, and to promote understanding of the IBM brand in the world. The Blue Studio project manager is a key orchestrator, managing creative project expectationsamong stakeholders, the Blue Studio and agency partners to uphold our creative excellence.Execution team advocacy- Understands what work is flowing through the IBM Blue Studio and external agency teams and acts as a voice to bring concerns or issues back to broader cross-functional teams
- Acts as a champion for the team, ensuring needs are met and positioning the team’s work correctly within any conversation
- Helps the team evolve work processes based on efficiencies gained over time
- External agency partner engagement and management
- Hosts kickoff of agency work with appropriate SMEs and IBM Blue Studio directional leads
- Helps guide and steer development of work with the appropriate IBM SMEs and IBM Blue Studio directional leads to ensure it meets business objectives
- Ensures that deliverables are finalized as expected and conducts project closing procedures, including retrospectives with external agency partners
- Operational excellence
- Guides short-term and long-term planning exercises with the creative team by putting
- appropriate structure and timelines in place meet forecast demand
- Is responsible for escalation of service issues against assigned area of responsibility
- Ensures that appropriate creative workflows and prioritization exercises are routine and raises blockers as needed.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5+ years experience in the creative production and connecting content and experiences to buyer, market and channel trends
- Excellent expectation management, communication skills and fluency in Agile method
- Exemplary attention to detail and organization and a commitment to flawless execution.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience working at a start-up or creative or in-house agency alongside creative
partners
- PMI – ACP, Scrum or other relevant certification
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Workfront
- Passion about taking a new-media approach to content, using data to inspire ideas
- Stellar reputation related to client service and over-delivery on business objectives
- Inherent curiosity as a digital consumer who understands the modern content
