As a Junior Project Manager, you’ll work on challenging projects – planning, directing design management efforts, and monitoring all aspects of preconstruction projects with high degrees of technical complexity. • Provide technical and managerial support to Program Manager and Preconstruction Manager to coordinate, manage and participate from project site visits, gather and evaluate project as-built data, coordinate, manage and participate from project meetings and technical workshops with client and other stakeholder.

• Provide technical and managerial support to Program Manager and Preconstruction Manager to prepare and review cost estimates, presentations, meeting minutes, project technical memorandums, and develop scope of works intended for requests for proposals for specialized technical project planning phase services.

• Provide technical and managerial support to Program Manager and Preconstruction Manager to develop request for proposals for design phase services and specialized studies, review and issue for approval all professional services proposals, their respective monthly invoicing and deliverables reporting to the client.

• Provide technical and managerial support to Program Manager and Preconstruction Manager to coordinate and participate from progress meetings and design workshops with client and other stakeholders, to gather, evaluate and process design phase deliverables reviewing comments, cost estimates, environmental and permitting deliverables, including evaluation of periodic invoicing, including all project progress reporting.

• Provide technical and managerial support to Program Manager and Preconstruction Manager to coordinate and manage the preparation of project bid packages, provide support to client with pre-bid conference coordination and participation, including the preparation and management of meetings agendas, attendance sheets, project presentations, and pre-bid meeting minutes.

• Provide technical and managerial support to Program Manager and Preconstruction Manager to coordinate and participate from project site visits with bid participants, provide support in addressing bidder's questions and inquiries, develop and provide PRASA with required bidding addendums, evaluate submitted bids according to PRASA bidding procedures and issue recommendations.

• Provide technical and managerial support to Program Manager, Preconstruction Manager and Construction Manager with the coordination of design processes during construction for design-build type projects, project regulatory compliance in terms of permitting abidance, resolution of constructability issues of all projects so as to fulfill design compliance.

• Provide technical and managerial support to Program Manager, Preconstruction Manager and Construction Manager with development and evaluation of request for proposals, including probable subcontract modification requests associated to engineering or specialized (archeology, biology, geology, surveying, etc.) services during construction, preparation of presentations and reporting to client and other stakeholders.

• Provide all water or wastewater-related pre-construction status input for the Summary and Monthly Reports to client and other stakeholders.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• At least 5 years of technical and management experience with small to large infrastructure projects.

• Current Puerto Rico Engineer-In-Training License.

• Up to date registration within the CIAPR.

• Experience in Engineering Management.

• Bilingual English/Spanish.

• Experience with Technical Writing.

• Current experience within the Puerto Rico design/construction market.

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

• Master Degree in in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• Current experience in Puerto Rico with small to large treatment and conveyance projects involving complex, multidiscipline, municipal water and wastewater treatment design projects.

• +10 years of technical and management experience with small to large water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

• Experience in federal funding projects (FEMA, SRF, CDBG, etc.).
