Junior Finance Project Manager
The Finance Project Leadership group runs a number of projects and initiatives in partnership with Finance and Risk teams. Across regions and globally, these projects encompass both business-driven initiatives and major Finance- and Risk- driven programs, arising from a combination of factors including:
The rapidly changing business and regulatory environment in which the firm operates.
The constant need to align processes, data and systems used for regulatory reporting, with established firm standards and policies, as well as to enhance efficiency and further strengthen the current control environment.
As a Finance Project Manager you will:
Lead the implementation of a complex projects end to end typically 6-12 months duration with multiple systems and countries involved (most projects will be within the EMEA region but may also include components of a global program)
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, task lists, risk registers and clear short and long-term approaches to achieve project objectives
Monitor and track delivery of activity against milestones, including managing dependencies across related projects
Provide credible challenge to the projects members on their plans, delivery and documentation
Prepare executive / management level reporting and facilitate regular senior governance meetings
Contribute to the effort to deploy global process / system strategy within the region
Manage the project support for a functional area in Finance; will face off to cluster / country senior Finance or O&T management, as well as to global functional leads
Ideal background:
4-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the Banking industry
Experience in Projects roles (1-3 years), either as a Project Manager or a Business Analyst
Multiple years of working in a multi-cultural environment delivering results with virtual teams
Established knowledge of financial processes end to end, systems, measures and concepts on products (including valuation and control)
Good presentation and communication skills
Experience and ease in interfacing with different stakeholder groups (including Technology Teams, Internal Audit, Senior Management, etc.)
PMP or other Project Management certification a plus
Knowledge and experience of the regulatory environment in the EU a plus
