KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing adherence to data governance policies and procedures.
- Develop and deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a data-driven strategy partner, advising on implementation of new workforce analytics, that inform business strategy
- Partner with HR teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Develop and maintain self-service reporting and analytics capabilities within the Workday and other analytics platforms.
- Respond to ad hoc report requests in support of BAU activities and special projects, including, but not limited to, M&A activities and executive dashboards, maintaining balance between business requirement and system integrity.
- Maintain custom Prism datasets to incorporate external data into Workday analytics capabilities.
- Designing, owning and delivering complex reporting and analysis solutions to provide rich insights on HR data, processes, performance, and quality.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to workforce performance, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with HR teams to improve data quality and consistency within the Workday system.
- Partner with business leaders to understand pain points, prioritize requirements and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiency by leveraging Workday functionality.
- Maintain awareness of Workday feature releases / roadmap and the potential impact of those plans on current and future analytics functionality.
- Responsible for the thorough testing and analysis of new Workday and other reporting and analytics features and functionality; participates in relevant release planning, accountable for regression testing, unit testing, User Acceptance testing and pre-launch testing / sign-off for new features or enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in people analytics.
- Provide excellent customer service in response to report requests and resolve requests accurately and timely.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
This position is hiring for two different levels - a HR Data Analyst and a Senior HR Data Analyst. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. - Bachelor’s Degree Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in HR data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with various data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Workday Prism, Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with Workday report writer, Workday Prism, or other HRIS systems (preferred).
- Functional experience with broad HR practices and program development that allows you to understand the needs of stakeholders across the HR functions (preferred).
- Compliance experience in PII, GDPR, SOX (preferred).
Senior Data Analyst Specific:
- 5+ years of experience in HR data analysis and reporting.
Support the development, implementation, and ongoing adherence to data governance policies and procedures.
Develop and deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives.
Serve as a data-driven strategy partner, advising on implementation of new workforce analytics, that inform business strategy.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Workday Pro Reporting or Workday Pro Prism Analytics (preferred).
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and data visualization.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
- Advanced understanding of statistical concepts and methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Ability to articulate HR data structures and terminology to HR and business stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret and incorporate operational business functions into assigned activities.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to empower business leaders to data-driven process improvements.
- High degree of customer-centric mindset and personal accountability, with a track record for delivering results, team collaboration and strong analytical acumen.
