In this role, you will:
Participate in less complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements for timely processing of all incoming business lending within Transaction and Processing
Review and analyze basic business, operational, or technical assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements for loan approval documents
Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners and stakeholders, including internal and external customers if applicable
Work with origination, underwriting, closing and central analysts in the preparation of loan approval documents
Job Responsibilities include:
Analyzing escrow accounts, including performing manual escrow calculations and ensuring accurate escrow collection
Monitoring delinquent or defaulted mortgage payments, including accurate and timely reporting on loan status and working with borrower towards resolution
Processing HUD reserve withdrawal requests, including working with HUD to verify approval of HUD-9250 form
Consistently and accurately document loan information in the appropriate system of record
Reviewing mid to high complex loan documents
Recommending and implementing continuous quality and process improvement within the operation department
Ensuring effective management of quality control processes
Managing information flow into, within and from the team related to systems, policies, procedures, process changes, reports, data cleanup, etc.
Gathering and analyzing data for reporting to external and internal parties, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate
Reviewing, interpreting, and understanding agency guidelines, including adapting processes and procedures to reflect changes to policy
Assisting with other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
2+ years of multifamily mortgage experience, preferably in agency servicing (FHA, Fannie Mae, or Freddie Mac)
Experience using loan monitoring systems such as Strategy and Rockport
Ability to search, compile, and perform analysis on critical operational data
Ability to work independently and develop strategic recommendations to resolve novel issues and concepts encountered in loan portfolio
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask while prioritizing workflow to meet production deadlines
Possess expert-level technical, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Job Expectations:
4 days in office at one of the listed locations; Charlotte, NC or Mclean, VA
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to work additional hours as needed
