Finance, Strategy, And Accounting

Payroll Processing and Operations

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of multi-state regular and off-cycle payrolls

  • Ensure an accurate and timely payroll, including base pay, stock compensation, payroll taxes, 401(k), statutory and supplemental benefits, etc.

  • Process weekly employee expense reimbursements via Workday.

  • Review and verify employee timecards for accuracy, and communicate with employees and managers to resolve discrepancies.

  • Conduct audits of new hire data, work state, and home state information to ensure compliance with relevant laws and company policies.

Employee Support and Compliance

  • Provide first-line support to employees by responding to payroll-related inquiries through Zendesk in a timely and professional manner.

  • Stay updated on laws and best practices to ensure compliance.

  • Support audit tasks for tax/finance teams as assigned.

Compliance, Reporting, and Administration

  • Assist in preparing payroll reports and support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Prepare and process Records of Employment (ROE) for Canadian employees accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with Canadian employment standards and regulations.

Skills Required:

  • Familiarity with payroll operations, tax regulations, and labor laws in the US and Canada is preferred

  • Proven ability to handle multiple payroll entities with diverse requirements

  • Solid organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills

  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and Workday

  • Excellent verbal and written communication; skilled in handling confidential materials and comfortable asking for clarification when needed

  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment; effective under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Team player with strong stakeholder management

  • We have a hybrid work arrangement in our Mexico City office (3 days onsite per week) with a collaborative team atmosphere.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

  • Minimum 5 years experience in payroll processing and operations
