Responsibilities
Manage and oversee payroll accounting and tax operations for the United States and Canada payrolls.
Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and issues in the general ledger.
Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of payroll processes and systems.
Collect and analyze relevant data to improve team processes and maximize efficiency.
Leverage feedback, develop skills, and acquire knowledge to effectively support the team.
Collaborate with cross-regional teams across different time zones to provide high-quality service to stakeholders.
Conduct variance analysis on a month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter basis.
Offer recommendations and insights to improve payroll accounting and efficiency.
Assist with month-end closing tasks, including posting journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
Retrieve and validate ADP-prepared reports.
Complete required multiple worksite and Bureau of Labor reports, along with mandatory surveys.
Reclassify inactive cost centers.
Address ADP inquiries regarding federal and state filing mandates.
Update tax rates in Workday.
Validate ADP invoices against bank transactions.
Preferred Skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Google products.
Strong communication skills, written/verbal, and ability to interact with employees at all levels, including upper management.
Commitment to accuracy and quality, with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
We have a hybrid work arrangement in our Mexico City office (3 days onsite per week) with a collaborative team atmosphere.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 4+ years of Payroll experience
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certification is preferred.
Prior experience in payroll accounting for both the United States and Canada is preferred.
