Job Overview

This role will assist in the implementation of ESG reporting requirements across the globe, including the SEC Climate Related Disclosures, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, California Climate Disclosures and various others emerging regulatory requirements in jurisdictions in which Qualcomm operates. Specifically, the responsibilities include:

  • Leading role in the development of an ESG reporting and disclosure process, including developing new (and enhancing existing) policies and procedures to govern ESG reporting activities

  • Review ESG reporting support, to ensure all key disclosure requirements are satisfied in a timely manner meeting regulatory and audit requirements.

  • Develop various ESG process flowcharts and control matrices, including identification of key control points

  • Proactively identify reporting risks and lead in the design and implementation of control activities

  • Support internal and external audits of ESG disclosures

  • Stay abreast of changes in the business and industry to assess impacts to the company’s risk profile

  • Contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and making continuous process improvements for the overall ESG Reporting and compliance processes

  • Design and implement data analytics or automation throughout the ESG processes where feasible

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.

• 4+ years of Accounting, Finance, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant or MBA

  • Financial reporting and accounting experience, including support of internal or external audits

  • Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills

  • Fast learner with strong interpersonal, organization, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to get things done, be resourceful and take responsibility

  • Ability to recognize and apply a sense of urgency, when necessary

  • Positive attitude, professional maturity, good work ethic

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task to meet deadlines with high-quality deliverables

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Visio

  • Experience with (or interest in) ESG

  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in internal auditing, external auditing, corporate accounting function or SOX compliance within a global public company (preferably in the high-tech industry), Big 4/mid-tier accounting firm or other fast-paced corporate setting.

Pay range:

$98,000.00 - $147,000.00
