Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform digital synthesis and static timing analysis (STA) for complex digital designs.

  • Collaborate with design, verification and PD teams to ensure timing closure and design optimization.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of synthesis and STA scripts and methodologies.

  • Analyze and resolve timing issues, working closely with cross-functional teams.

  • Run Low power checks and Logic equivalency checks.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on timing and synthesis aspects.

  • Document and report synthesis and STA results, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

  • Engage in tasks that require collaboration across multiple functional teams.

  • Verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information

  • Completing tasks that require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders

  • Use deductive and inductive problem solving

Required Competencies (All competencies below are required upon entry)

  • Familiarity with EDA tools such as Synopsys Design Compiler, Cadence Genus, or similar.

  • Basic understanding of digital design principles and VLSI concepts.

  • Understanding of scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, or Python.

  • Knowledge of static timing analysis and timing closure techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • 0-1+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

-0-1+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
