  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Filter and cleanse data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and informational needs.
  • Develop models to support decision-making in specified functional areas and to define metrics.
  • Design, construct, modify, integrate, implement and test data models and database management systems.
  • Provide statistical expertise and guidance to clinical teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all clinical trial activities comply with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports of clinical trial results, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on database technologies, services, protocols, and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to unforeseen data complications.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Math, Statistics, Economics or Industrial Engineering and approximately three years of related work experience; or a graduate degree in the same and approximately two years of related work experience.
  • Deep knowledge of Life Sciences Research and Early Discovery(R&ED) data & analytics in Target Screening, Lead Optimization, Vaccines, Lab – Dry & Wet, Instrumentation, LIMS, CMC and other relevant areas
  • Strong Life Sciences R&ED Data Information Architecture Development – Functional and Technical experience
  • Proven experience as a Clinical Trial Developer research or a relevant role, preferably in a senior position.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
  • A minimum of two years' experience providing consulting services with a strategic focus in helping clients achieve transformational value by improving performance through the use of advanced analytics solutions.
  • A deep understanding of business processes and a minimum of three years' experience using advanced analytics, machine learning or artificial intelligence to solve real-world business problems.
  • Must have two years' programming experience in at least two of the following: R, Python, SQL
  • Must have advanced level SQL programming and Data Visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, D3.js).
  • Experience in data storytelling and knowledge of how people make decisions with data.
  • Knowledge in data modeling, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Ability to connect "big-picture" industry and market trends to a client's business problem.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs. A valid driver's license in the US is required.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • Cloud Big Data skills, such as Azure, AWS, Snowflake
  • Experience with data and systems architecture (APIs, messaging, etc.)
  • Experience with master data management and data governance

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $96,200 to $158,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115,500 to $180,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
