What you will do
Develop features and bug fixes in Kubernetes and OpenShift within an agile team, working on Kueue, LeaderWorkSet and JobSet
Become responsible for our product quality, participate in peer code reviews, continuous integration and delivery, respond to security threats
Act as a point of escalation for customer and internal teams
Participate in architectural discussions of system designs, programming interfaces, and inter-dependencies of control plane, operators, CI, etc., both in the Kubernetes upstream communities and the OpenShift project
Ensure that there are test plans for the code you create and that documentation is correct
Collaborate with other engineering teams on integrations
Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
What you will bring
Good understanding of Linux operating system
Knowledge of working with Go programming language
Experience building and deploying container-based applications
Understanding Kubernetes architecture
Understanding of how Open Source and Free Software communities work
Following is considered a plus
Experience troubleshooting complex issues in distributed systems
Demonstrable expertise in at least one of Python, C, C++, Rust, Ruby
Experience with Kubernetes and writing operators
Experience in developing client tools and controllers using Kubernetes libraries
Experience with development for public cloud services (AWS, GCE, Azure)
Ability to present to customers and stakeholders
Previous contributions to open source projects or being an open source maintainer
Involvement in a Kubernetes or Kubernetes Special Interest Group
