This is a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering role, managing infrastructure such as diesel generators, switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, fire detection systems and building automation systems. You will deploy, operate, and maintain the facilities (electrical/mechanical systems, control/fire-fighting systems, etc.) and manage related projects at our large-scale, high-density data centers.The role requires a highly driven, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to complex technical problems. SAFETY
- Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture.- Own safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
- Operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.
- Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
- Supervise con-tractor or Engineering Operations Technicians to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
- Driving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics.
- Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and assist in recruiting efforts.
- Lead the root cause analysis for operational issues, and conduct meetings with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to finalize mitigation strategies.A day in the life

Work/Life Balance
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Apprentice/trades certified or diploma (or equivalent recognized training) in an Electrical field including key electrical competencies (Practice & Theory) & knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)
- Driving license valid in Italy
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities / or Mission Critical Plants/ Production facilities
· An undergraduate degree in a technical field (EE, MechE, IndustrialE);
· Project Management experience
