Your impact
The Associate Power Systems Engineer is responsible for providing consultancy and engineering services in APAC. Role may include:
- Develop Jacobs’ capabilities and reputation in South-East Asia, New Zealand, and Australia
- Deliver technically excellent engineering consultancy services.
- Take responsibility for communication with clients, OEM’s, and Utilities to ensure project timeframes are met.
- Manage and deliver projects to budget and on time resulting in client satisfaction.
- Maintain compliance with Jacobs QA procedures, including the deliverables review QA process.
- Mentor and facilitate the technical development of more junior resources to meet market requirements.
- Engage with high performers in a team environment to facilitate knowledge sharing and coaching.
- Build your reputation within Jacobs and the broader Power System Studies industry.
- Enhance your technical skills and capabilities by supporting the Principal Engineer’s in the project delivery.
- Seek opportunities to develop your relationships and visibility within the industry (e.g., prospects, past clients, regulators, suppliers)
- Enhance our reputation with clients through strong service delivery and technical expertise, with a keen focus on attention to detail.
- Identify opportunities for enhanced project delivery through automation.
- Provide bid preparation support as required.
- Global Integrated Delivery Coordination
- Collaborate closely with our GID teams who shall support our projects undertaking the system studies.
- Facilitate the transfer of information to ensure timely communication of issues is provided.
- Culture:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver projects and provide technical support.
- Attend client meetings where possible to gain an understanding of the relationships that we aspire to maintain.
- Provide training and mentoring including regular check-ins with junior staff members to support their growth.
- Ensure tasks undertaken are understood completely before starting.
- Promote safety culture within the organisation and with our clients.
- Be engaged in the safety culture of Jacobs and promote safety in all aspects of project delivery
- Proactively manage the HSE requirements on projects.
You will support your Performance Unit to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people.
