As a studio manager, you’ll be responsible for the general and satisfactory operation of a recording studio. This includes helping the artists and producers create their music and developing a great rapport with those within the industry. Additionally, you will be responsible for scheduling recording and rehearsal times, handling financial documents including invoices, deposits and refunds, as well as marketing the studio.
You should possess excellent communication, technical and analytical skills to succeed in this role. An ideal studio manager also has a good understanding of music production and related software applications. Having an instinctive ear for good sound is a plus.
