The business development consultant works closely with the business's executives and operations teams to improve their current external relationships, such as partners, vendors, and potential customers. They must be able to apply technological advancements to increase revenues and market share and create strategies to develop and market new products quickly. An excellent understanding the latest technological developments is also a must. In this role, the business development consultant must have excellent communication skills to present well both on an individual and group level.
