As a Legislative & Regulatory Policy Assistant Director or Associate Director, you’ll be responsible for assisting the legislative and regulatory teams within the Office of Public Policy; monitoring, communicating, and shaping legislative and public policy activity. Your key responsibilities

  • Assists team with development and execution of the EY Office of Public Policy strategy, including engagement with Washington policymakers and other stakeholders.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in policy areas critical to the firm, including covering congressional hearings and other related events as warranted.
  • Produces written deliverables for internal use and distribution.
  • At times, assists EY legislative team and/or EYPAC representative in political activities relevant to the firm’s priorities.
  • Responsible for communications distribution channel management.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 8-10 plus years of relevant experience, experience on Capitol Hill, lobbying or regulatory policy for the Assistant Director rank.
  • 10-12 plus years of experience years of relevant experience, experience on Capitol Hill, lobbying or regulatory policy for the Associate Director rank.
  • Must be able to attend EY and client events some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work in the EY Washington DC office multiple days a week.

Ideally, you’ll also have

In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Directory Enablement Senior Engineer

As part of dynamic and highly knowledgeable teams, the Directory Enablement Engineer drives the best practices in basic to complex engineering activities aligned to directory services technologies and supports the remediation and implementation directives for the technology as may be identified by or assigned to the Identity & Access Management Services (IAMS) group within Information Security. The role designs and develops said architectural elements or modifications including but not limited to integrated processes, applications, data and technology remediation. The role supports the need for engineered solutions from Information Technology (IT) enterprise architecture directives, as determined by operational requirements from such global operations partners as Identity & Access Management Services (IAMS) within Information Security. The role’s efforts maintain directory technologies (e.g. Active Directory, Entra ID) and other security aligned functions and performs all work in adherence to EY’s compliance standards for technology development and deployment. As part of supporting a continuous process improvement remit, the role is expected to utilize a variety of modern IT systems management technologies for large, complex environments including Configuration Manager, Operations Manager, Powerbroker, Active Roles Server, Sentinel reporting and scripting technologies such as PowerShell.

Your key responsibilities

The role requires an understanding of a hybrid Identity infrastructure utilizing Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services and Microsoft Entra ID.

The role may also require the periodic allocation of additional time on the job to support multiple demands and escalating issues and could be asked to travel to support planned project activities and collaboration.

  • Maintains a continuous review of aligned applications and software, servers and networks aligned to the IAM and directory environments including but not limited to the Systems Center Operations Manager Administration, Windows 2016 and 2022 Administration and Infrastructure, perimeter networks (DMZ), Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration and remediation, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
  • Maintains advanced and continuous knowledge of the ancillary technologies to be engineered such as Lightweight Directory Services (LDS), Rights Management Systems (RMS) as part of the IAM services to support the time sensitive management, monitoring and automation of Tier 0 technologies and other directives and drive continuous improvement.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • College degree in related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or comparable job experiences aligned to Active Directory and/or IAM engineering directives
  • Approximately 8 to 10 years of experience in an engineering role. Able to exhibit a progression of increasingly complex job responsibilities during the period inclusive of project management skills, engineering remediation techniques and project planning and implementation.
  • Certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)

Legislative & Regulatory Policy, Assistant Director or Associate Director

As a Legislative & Regulatory Policy Assistant Director or Associate Director, you’ll be responsible for assisting the legislative and regulatory teams within the Office of Public Policy; monitoring, communicating, and shaping legislative and public policy activity. Must have demonstrated experience understanding policy-making processes and ability to develop written content for internal use in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Also must have strong professional networking and public policy advocacy skills.

Your key responsibilities

  • Assists team with development and execution of the EY Office of Public Policy strategy, including engagement with Washington policymakers and other stakeholders.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in policy areas critical to the firm, including covering congressional hearings and other related events as warranted.
  • Produces written deliverables for internal use and distribution.
  • At times, assists EY legislative team and/or EYPAC representative in political activities relevant to the firm’s priorities.
  • Responsible for communications distribution channel management.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrated understanding of US congressional and administration policy-making processes, including an understanding of the roles and decision makers in the Executive agencies, the White House, the Senate and the House, as well as the role of think tanks and associations.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 plus years of relevant experience, experience on Capitol Hill, lobbying or regulatory policy for the Assistant Director rank.
  • 10-12 plus years of experience years of relevant experience, experience on Capitol Hill, lobbying or regulatory policy for the Associate Director rank.
  • Must be able to attend EY and client events some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work in the EY Washington DC office multiple days a week.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Financial services policy experience a plus.

The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $126,200 to $223,500. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
