They must collect and analyze invoices, reconcile payment terms, and research and resolve discrepancies. They are also responsible for processing payments, reconciling accounts, maintaining a proper filing system, and protecting the confidentiality of information. An ideal Accounts Payable candidate must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills. The candidate should have an aptitude for financial transactions, a strong understanding of accounting terminology, and the ability to work independently. They should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with their team and vendors. Additionally, the ideal candidate would possess the knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or accounting software.
