Required qualifications:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; SAP and Hyperion Financial Management experience a plus.

About the role:

The Accountant III, Corporate Accounting plays a key role in supporting various accounting processes and initiatives in an exciting work environment.Our team is a dynamic, high-performing group that is responsible for overseeing complex and judgmental accounting areas, implementing and maintaining global accounting policies and compliance with external reporting requirements in addition to supporting various process improvement initiatives related to core accounting concepts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the review and redesign of the company’s worldwide accounting processes for business-sponsored employee relocations. Requires working closely with the BSC Global Mobility team, the International Tax team, the Global Business Services group, third party service providers and local accounting teams worldwide to ensure appropriate accruals and expense recognition
  • End-to-end process ownership for global pension accounting, including coordination of valuation reports with third party actuaries and preparation ofhigh-quality footnotes and disclosures for our annual SEC filing
  • Complete accounting close activities and related internal controls, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, for multiple benefit-related accounts
  • Deliver accurate annual plan and periodic forecast estimates to our Financial Planning and Analysis team for each area of responsibility
  • Perform monthly analysis and annual rate planning related to fringe benefits impacting all US sites and divisions
  • Participate in preparation for future system implementations and process improvement projects
  • Ensure a strong control environment and compliance with reporting standards and regulations
  • Support tie out of annual proxy filing with SEC
  • Manage ad hoc queries from internal customers, including senior management
  • Identify and implement process improvements to gain efficiencies in the financial close process
  • Foster an inclusive workplace that that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational and personal objectives

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting or audit experience
