What You’ll Do
  • Effectively deliver equipment specific training to Maintenance Technicians and Engineers in classroom and field settings while using a variety of presentation formats including Instructor-Led, Facilitative group learning, and active hands-on learning
  • Support efforts in develop high quality, engaging technical content and lab exercises on a wide variety of applications (basic and advanced) in concert with factory SMEs
  • Staying up to date with process and production changes by building and maintaining ongoing working relations with supporting cross-functional teams and production shops
  • Follow schedule outlined, maintain adaptability to day-to-day changes, and be flexible with business training requests
  • Ownership of training attendance for assigned classes, record keeping of learners in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Report and escalate all safety related concerns, events, or incidents in a timely manner
What You’ll Bring
  • 2 years of practical experience in industrial technical maintenance/engineering applications
  • Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of manufacturing Robotics equipment and/or processes
  • Understanding of and commitment to Tesla’s teaching, mission, and philosophy
  • Innovative, flexible, positive teaching style and understanding the needs of students from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with team and peers within the Training, Maintenance, and Engineering organizations
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with hardware, tools, instruments, and methods applicable to manufacturing robotics processes
  • Technology Skills: Ability to integrate computer applications into teaching

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver engaging collision instructor-led training on mechanical systems, aluminum and steel welding, aluminum and steel structural repair, and paint-less dent repair
  • Train and develop Collision technicians on inspection, repair, and service of Tesla vehicles. Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
  • Ensure that programs and processes are developed, assessed, communicated, and administered in compliance with Tesla’s objectives
  • Assist with the operations that include inventory, vehicles, room setup, service center contacts, phone calls, scheduling, tool and equipment maintenance, and student data tracking
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet project deadlines
  • Comply with all Tesla safety rules, guidelines, and standards. Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools. Must be able to work independently in limited supervision environments
  • Comply with all Tesla safety rules guidelines and standards. Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of collision industry experience, training experience preferred
  • Certificate from Vocational School in Collision Repair preferred
  • Advanced aluminum and steel joining experience – welding, riveting, and bonding
  • Proven ability in structuring demonstrations and instruction sessions
  • Proficient in use of dedicated and universal frame equipment
  • High level of proficiency in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Maintain and perform top level professional integrity and appearance as a Collision Repair Program Trainer
  • Valid Driver's License Preferred

The Technical Training Instructor – Vehicle Products position requires someone who is dependable, flexible, highly organized, and hard working. Individuals should have a passion for, and understanding of, personal development through the training process. Must have outstanding communication, presentation and organizational skills while demonstrating a positive, motivational, and professional appearance. The Technical Training Instructor – Vehicle Products will take responsibility for developing courses, mentoring Technicians and New Hires in areas of technical knowledge, procedures and promoting an atmosphere of continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop basic and advanced technical content on a wide variety of material applicable to End of Line and other departments
  • Deliver Technical Training courses in classroom and field settings using a variety of presentation formats including Instructor Led, Facilitative group learning, active hands-on learning, and functional assessments
  • Collaborate with EOL Personnel to determine the effectiveness of delivered training
  • Provide evaluation of courses with written and hands-on assessments
  • Provide comprehensive tracking of each Student’s completed and required training in Tesla specific Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Learn new process skills, keeping up to date with the latest revisions of process operations, and area cross-training to allow for a flexible, efficient work team
  • Ensure that New Hires and existing employees are treated with respect and having the tools and guidance to be successful
What You’ll Bring
  • 3 years or more automotive field experience required. End of Line experience preferred
  • 2 years or more leadership experience preferred
  • Certificate from an Automotive Vocational School or ASE Certifications preferred
  • Experience with Tesla Vehicle products in manufacturing settings to include basic and advanced, troubleshooting, mechanical teardown and reassembly
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Experience with environmental and safety requirements a plus
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with hardware, tools, instruments, and methods applicable to manufacturing technical processes
  • Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with team and peers within the Training, Technicians and Engineering organizations
