Responsible for leading engineers in the Exterior and Structural Systems. Localisation of respective commodities and lead the launch of their respective systems during new model launches. Implement localisation and design cost reduction Team Value Management (TVM) ideas to meet or exceed the TVM cost reduction targets.

As a PVT Interior Engineer, you will play a vital role within the Product Development team, reporting to the Interior Supervisor. Your primary objective will be to support the Production Plant by ensuring that all interior components meet stringent quality standards and are released on time. This involves overseeing design revisions, supporting reworks, and managing interim component and process changes. You will be a key liaison with suppliers and the regional Lead Engineering Activity, fostering continuous improvement in part quality.

POSITION DETAILS:

• Ensure production targets are met as outlined in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, Environment (SQDCPME) Policy Deployment.
• Maintain discipline & standardized processes in work areas as outlined in the Operation Instruction Sheet ( OIS), Work Element Sheet (WES) & the Work Balance Board (WBB) procedures.
• Understand, Implement & Manage Ford’s Production System (FPS).
• Manage absenteeism levels, employee versatility & manning assignments in the area of responsibility.
• Maintain the areas Quality Operating System (QPIP).
• Manage and maintain your area scorecard by meeting your Quality targets (FRC) and sustainability.
• Understand all EOL issues and plan accordingly on fixes and Permanent Corrective Action (PCA)
• Participate in PIC Room, Verability Reduction Team (VRT), Ford Customer Product Audit (FCPA) & Zone Control Center (ZCC) requirements.
• Understand, analyze & react to any TCF Concerns.
• Create a conducive environment for continuous improvement and motivate employees.
• Enforce Company Safety Regulations, Departmental Housekeeping, & Environmental Standards, maintaining a healthy & safe work environment (i.e., ISO 9000 / ISO 14000 & TS 16949 procedures).
  

Perform And Implement TCF Automated Intelligent System (AIS) Function For Continuous Improvement to achieve SQDCPME (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, and the Environment) objectives.

POSITION DETAILS

• Attend all meetings laid out in the Process Technician Time and Data, as well as ad hoc meetings as per business requirements.
• Deliver on assignments on time that are assigned during these meeting.
• Implement new standards that are issued.
• Confirm and maintain current standards that are in place.
• Ensure team members are adhering to all the standards at all times.
• Support issues raised by the teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage the changes in the area of responsibility
• Understand and implement Engineering Changes to processes.
• Understand MTC and verify the package, and assist with implementation in the area of responsibility.
• Do a 1-hour start-up before production starts and validate all TCF and Body shop AIS Error proofing system and Connections are Green.
• Configuration of online processes needed by Process Technicians and Process Coaches.
• Understanding and feeding back error proofing issues: Use of Error Proofing website and feeding back to Lead Engineer.
• First Line Support on addressing failures caused by AIS (Process Alignment).
• Remove Faulty equipment from the line, and understand what is causing the fault.
• Support the Constraints meeting by providing Root Causes and Interim Corrective Action (ICA)/ Permanent Corrective Action (PCA).
• Set up AIS Components as spares, for quick reaction during breakdowns to improve reaction time.
• Identify Daily improvements on the Error Proof system (Kaizens).
• Identify Near Misses.
• Support VOME on any new process changes that are error-proof related
