This is a hands-on, lab-based role where your work will directly contribute to advancing life-changing treatments.
As a key member of our Discovery Biology – New Targets team, you will play a vital role in early-stage biologics R&D. Your responsibilities will include:• Conduct hands-on laboratory research to support therapeutic antibody discovery and validation
• Perform cell biology techniques, including developing functional assays with reporter cell lines and primary cells
• Culture mammalian cells (adherent and suspension), handling maintenance, expansion, and cryopreservation under sterile conditions
• Execute phenotypic and functional cell analyses (e.g., flow cytometry, phosphorylation assays, calcium flux)
• Apply molecular and protein biology methods, such as DNA handling, protein expression, and purification
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project and site objectives
• Summarize and present experimental data to senior scientists and management
• Manage laboratory resources, including reagent inventories and supply chains
• Document experimental work in electronic lab notebooks and present findings to stakeholders
• Uphold compliance with health, safety, PC2, gene technology, and company policies
• Support general laboratory operations and contribute to a positive team environment
• Bachelor’s degree (with honours) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Experience with mammalian cell culture (cell lines and/or primary cells)
• Familiarity with cell-based analytical assays using techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA (AlphaLISA, MSD or equivalent) and functional cell-based assays (e.g. proliferation, cytokine stimulation, fluorescent reporter systems)
• Familiarity with fundamental pharmacology, including dose-response analysis and basic statistical methods
• Knowledge of molecular and protein biology techniques (e.g., transfection, protein expression and purification) is advantageous
• Experience in immunology, cell biology, or pharmacology is highly regarded

As our Business Support Centre Executive Assistant you’ll be required to work in a team environment providing high quality, consistent and efficient administrative support in line with a set scope of services.
