As a Facility Coordinator in Australia, you will be the consistent face of the organisation, ensuring that staff, clients, and other parties have the best experience when dealing with the organisation. Working closely with the Facility Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring that the physical workspace environment is running smoothly and satisfactorily. Reporting to the Facility Manager, your main responsibilities include coordinating repairs and maintenance to the organisation’s premises including offices and meeting rooms. You will be in charge of drafting and maintaining contracts with external suppliers providing services such as cleaning, security and catering among other services. You will also be responsible for ensuring the space meets all the necessary personnel and safety requirements set out by Workplace Health and Safety regulations. This includes overseeing security, fire and safety evaluations as well as monitoring and assigning the necessary resources to ensure compliance. You will need to show an ability to quickly to respond and rectify any technical difficulties such as malfunctioning or outdated equipment as well as to assess and manage the risk factors to the staff and visitors.
