As an Operations Engineer, your primary role is to own the coordination and execution of installation, commissioning, and performance ramp-up of the product in the field allowing the engineering and product team to focus on the system performance improvement and optimization. In parallel to the execution, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement ideas into both the deployment cycle time (safety, quality and productivity), and will be responsible for detailing engineering design improvements to the hardware engineering and product teams, to simplify the installation. This role will require the ability to build relationships and capture and synthesize the voice of the customer. Typically owning either a full program or a program region, the Operations Engineer sets standards and maintains quality within their scope of responsibility.The role requires comfort in handling highly technical work scopes related to automation installation, as well as addressing typical project management escalations that may arise during installations at construction sites or live operation warehouses. The ideal candidate is proactive and takes independent initiative to improve MSP technology. In parallel to the execution, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement ideas into both the deployment cycle time (safety, quality and productivity), and will be responsible for detailing engineering design improvements to the hardware engineering and product teams, to simplify the installation.This role will require the ability to build relationships and capture and synthesize the voice of the customer. GEHC RCIS Controller will ensure timely and accurate US GAAP closing and reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis; provide technical controllership guidance to both finance and operations leaders; and manage the local statutory and tax reporting obligations for the legal entities under the scope. The RCIS Controller will report into the GEHC Eurasian & African Growth Markets Controller.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure USGAAP and local GAAP finance records are maintained in timely, accurate and complete fashion
  • Manage monthly/ quarterly close process to ensure compliance, integrity of account balances/financial reporting and effectiveness of business processes.
  • Proactive engagement in strategic and commercial discussions within the controllership domain, and providing clear guidance where applicable
  • Support commercial and operations leaders/teams to understand financial/accounting implications of transactions and other matters by providing GEHC expertise and technical accounting guidance to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Monitor compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 requirements as applicable and drive control implementation and improvement where required.
  • Drive simplification and integration projects, in conjunction with Finance, IT and COE teams, to reduce complexity and enable local team to focus on value added analytical/strategic tasks
  • Partner with GEHC Internal Audit, Region Controllership and COEs as appropriate to review control environments
  • Partner with GEHC Tax team to manage the relationship with tax advisors to drive efficient and effective tax processes (CIT/VAT/WHT tax returns preparation, tax audit support) and ensure readiness for tax audits
  • Develop and implement team development plans

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with 4+ years in Big Four public accounting
  • 4+Years of Team Management experience within a finance function
  • Demonstrated proficiency in U.S. GAAP and local GAAP
  • Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others; acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; explains difficult or complex concepts; works to build consensus, developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
  • Experience in working in a multinational company, in diverse and matrix environment
  • Experience in working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively where daily schedule varies by hours worked and tasks managed while remaining accountable to company, region and team goals.
  • The ability to understand, communicate and train others in the use and understanding of complex medical device software algorithms as it pertains to device therapy and diverse disease states.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the medical community including patients.
