Description:
What You’ll Do
  • Communicate and streamline reliability program requirements for environmental stress screening and ongoing reliability testing globally
  • Determine component/system level test solutions that optimize product reliability and durability, FMEA-based risk mitigations, test team resources, and program schedules

  • Work closely with Reliability, Design, and Manufacturing teams to validate manufacturing reliability results and action plans suggesting design and/or process improvements to address reliability and durability issues based on understanding of failure root causes

  • Communicate reliability validation plans for components and subsystems providing guidance on sample size requirements and durations for reliability testing

  • Drive reliability assessments in program reviews and clearly communicate risk at products lifecycle

  • Influence supplier selection for higher reliability and provide clear guidance on reliability requirements and demonstration to suppliers

  • Provide reliability design guidelines and apply reliability lessons learned to enable continuous improvement. Answer complex questions on global product manufacturing reliability performance across Energy & Charging products

What You’ll Bring
  • Strong communication skills and experience leading cross functional teams

  • Solid Mechanical or Electrical Engineering fundamentals

  • 3-10 years of hands-on experience in hardware design, design validation, hardware testing, mechanical system reliability testing, and durability testing

  • Understanding of accelerated testing methods, governing equations, and physics of failure for different failure mechanisms

  • Working knowledge of failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, SEM, CSAM, X-ray, cross-sectioning and EDX

  • Knowledge of programming in scripting languages for test automation and data analysis/post-processing

  • Knowledge of manufacturing engineering fundamentals

  • Knowledge of reliability warranty analysis and reliability prediction methods

  • Experience working with complex electronic and mechanical systems

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and five or more years of industry experience in a reliability engineering role

  • Experience leading engineering teams, with a history of outstanding accomplishments from architecture definition to product delivery

  • Expertise in modern web developments frameworks, preferably Golang

  • Demonstrated success with scalable web applications or messaging systems

  • Experience with web security

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical software engineering experience

  • Prior experience with Navigation and Mapping system is a plus

  • Own performance to overall business goals – including sales, growth, and customer satisfaction. Set action plans and communicate clearly across teams to achieve targets. Track tasks, milestones, deliverables and hold other teams accountable to progress. Manage cross-functional program reviews and communication across all stakeholders internally. Proactively identify major risks to program performance and develop / propose strategies to mitigate
  • Leverage insights from customer and market data to analyze Tesla’s position, market share, competitor products, pricing, customer sentiment and success – help identify pain points and opportunities and create and implement plans to address
  • Develop new commercial offerings (e.g. bundling, financing, etc.). Support the success of new hardware / software product launches working closely with Engineering, New Product Introduction / Launch, Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • Forge new partnerships and support/expand existing channel relationships in collaboration with sales and business development teams
  • Collaborate with analytics/data functions to put in place the necessary tools to track performance to program KPIs, ensure dissemination of reporting to various audiences is timely and relevant
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or related background
  • 7+ years of work experience in business operations, program management, product management, management consulting, finance and/or other related fields
  • Charging or Energy industry experience strongly preferred
  • Extremely organized and comfortable managing a high degree of complexity, and embraces change and rapid pace of work
  • Fluency with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, organizational tools (Confluence, JIRA) required
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interface with and influence multiple teams at various levels of the organization
  • Structured communication: ability to present to executive team both in visual and verbal means
