Job Description:

The Regional Delivery Executive (RDE) is a senior professional with deep (15+ years) program delivery experience. They need to have advanced, proven skills in executive communications, stakeholder management and a solid understanding of the legal and commercial aspects of working with customers, particularly in distressed engagements. The overall objective for the role is to lead delivery excellence by consistently meeting our customer commitments by understanding their needs, packaging our solutions that drive measurable business value within agreed-timelines and budgets.

The Regional Delivery Executive has the qualification, experience and business acumen to manage multiple large scale, high risk, projects, programs and engagements that span organizational and national boundaries including multiple business units and multiple service partners/vendors. This position has a high level of responsibility and exposure within SAP, the industry, and our market leading customers. They are a senior professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen as needed for this challenging role.

They reinforce enterprise knowledge management through the communication of engagement, portfolio and program lessons learned and delivery excellence practices development. There are 3 focus areas of the Regional Delivery Executive:

  • Own the engagement and program plan and be responsible for delivery of its major elements including program’s business objectives, scope and solution within quality criteria, on time and budget.
  • Translate generalized customer business goals and objectives into concrete strategy and tactical delivery plans for the engagement or program, ensuring focus on customers achieving value of SAP solutions and enables rapid innovation adoption, in partnership with our Enterprise Architects
  • Define strategic objectives of large and complex programs, benefits realization plans of large programs including KPIs to be delivers

  • Maximize use of near- and offshore delivery by SAP and its partners to achieve cost advantages for the client and SAP.
  • Maximize use of multiple SAP LoS such as BTA, ASC, CIS, BTA, PE, Preferred Success and Education to maximize value for the client and cross-sell SAP Services and Products.

  • Set-up and maintain value partnership (by using BTA/S services) in order to support client’s business case and benefits model.
  • Ensure good fit and balanced of the risk portfolio of new opportunities combined with ongoing delivery projects

  • Through all Delivery Engagements, serve as mentor / advisor / decision-maker to project managers for the program for issues related to corporate politics, external politics, client relations, project quality, and project risk.

  • SAP Cloud Solutions , particularly RISE
  • RISE Methodology
  • Clean Core and supporting tools (Siagnavio, LeanIX, CALM)
  • Industry Solutions (in related Practice area)
  • SAP Product Roadmap (in related Practice area)

International Experience

  • Solid experience in international implementation experience is a must
  • Expected Travel 0-50% mandatory
  • Regional Focus

Industry Experience

  • Experience across multiple Industries is required

Languages:

  • English: Fluent
  • Fluency in additional languages a distinct advantage

Education

  • Undergraduate university degree, preferably in commerce, engineering, information technologies is mandatory
  • Master’s degree, preferably in commerce, engineering, information technologies is desired
  • MBA would be an additional asset

Professional Training & Certification

  • Prince2 Practitioner, PMP or PgMP certification and /or other industry and project management certifications

  • Advanced knowledge in IT/cloud services , with specific expertise in SAP Basis, ITIL frameworks, and ticketing systems.
  • Proven skills in escalation management , stakeholder engagement, and contract management.
  • Proven client leadership and decision-making abilities to manage complex projects and high-pressure scenarios.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English (German is a plus).
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or business-related field (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT Management).

  • Experience in leading international and multicultural teams.
  • ITIL certification
