Purpose and Objective

What you'll do -

As an IT Technology Consultant, you will be responsible for:

· Handling Incidents, Alerts, and Service Requests

· Delivery and maintenance of complex SAP Landscapes by providing technical expertise and support.

· Planning, setup, implementation, and operation of SAP technologies, achieving ambitious SLAs

· Conceptual design, configuration, and administration of server landscapes with focus on Linux Operating systems

· Troubleshooting and resolving any hardware, OS, App and DB related issues that impact the business

· Managing daily operations ensuring high availability

· Proper documentation, definition of technical operational concepts and guidelines for the implemented SAP landscapes and roll out of this information/knowledge to the rest of the

What you bring -

· BE / BTech / MCA from a reputable institute

· 1 to 3 years of work experience as Technical SAP NetWeaver Consultant (ABAP and Java Basis Administration)

· Working knowledge on Business Object Products (BOBI, BODS etc)

· Working knowledge in UNIX/Linux environment, HANA DB and Sybase ASE databases.

· Basic knowledge of Network and Storage

· Experience working in an international environment, being able to work effectively with international and virtual teams

· Capable in technical documentation and creation of knowledge-based assets (KBAs)

· Ability to continuously acquire new knowledge proactively and independently

· Analytical and solution-oriented thinking

· Exposure to ITIL framework

· Working knowledge in UNIX/Linux environment, HANA DB and Sybase ASE databases

Responsibilities:
• Drive technical resolution of long running / repititive outages
• Preparation and driving of action plan to de-escalate situation related to Outages and RCAs
• Drive action plans to prevent recurring outages
• Support complex RCAs
• Exceptional RCA request approval.
• Take necessary steps to address the Global escalations.
• Drive internal initiatives or projects or reporting (Delivery KPI, review TSM feedback, GCS collaboration etc).

• The expectation is that the role does not only concentrate on Basis / application issues but can own incident resolution and RCA end-to-end and work together with other teams and functions to resolve incident and find root cause.
Experience and Educational Requirements
• SAP Basis / HANA DB expert. Specializes in ABAP, JAVA, Business object and HANA DB.
• Experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis following the 5-Why methodology.
• Experience in a Senior or position in the operational business
• Solid knowledge in IT and solution
• Experience in customer interaction
• Experience in working in a virtual set-up involving teams spread across globally
• Experience in decision making within own area of responsibility / project
• Expert level verbal and written English communication
