You will be responsible for selling Tableau’s Software solutions into a portfolio. Some of the things you will be doing include…
You’ll be defining and completing your account and territory plans – proactively identifying and connecting with new and existing contacts within your accounts.
Leading and qualifying multiple opportunities through the sales process to a successful close, in order to meet/exceed your quarterly and annual sales quota.
We’re all about quality data – so maintaining accurate customer and sales forecasting in Salesforce.com is key.
Using internal resources throughout the sales cycle e.g. product support and sales engineering.
Providing initial product demos to prospects – and working with the sales engineering when required, to deliver more complex, in-depth presentations.
Establishing, cultivating and growing your network within each account to further improve our relationship with these customers.
Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast through Salesforce.
Staying ahead of competition, driven issues and products – being the Tableau enthusiast.
Participating in team-building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, customer care and marketing efforts.
Traveling to customer sites across your territory to support your sales efforts.

Guide. You have extensive experience of field-based enterprise software sales experience, selling solutions into Mid-Market accounts. Sophisticated sales / solution sales experience and a consistent record of large figure deal experience. Degree or Equivalent Experience: Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the strengths for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

Also known as a " Pre -Sales Consultant" or "Sales Consultant," the Solution Engineer is responsible for presenting product offerings and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in company’s technology infrastructure, and to remove all technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, the Solution Engineer must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.
What roles are we looking to fill in Solutions Engineering?
The SE team is organized into several smaller teams based on the products they are selling and the industry/vertical they are selling into. These teams exist in both the Commercial (small to mid-sized accounts) and Enterprise (largest) market segments and on the following industry/vertical oriented teams (any of them):
Your Impact in our team
Understand the customer's needs, and establish Salesforce's product as the best solution that solves our customer's challenges
Build and present customized demos of Salesforce products
Convey deep knowledge of the customer's technology as it pertains to Salesforce's solutions
Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural trainings and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position
Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
Ability to travel based on territory alignment and region
Qualifications
Experience at Solution Engineer/Pre-sales Engineer/Customer Success or similar role
Solid presentation and communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied environments
Knowledge of related applications, relational database and web technology
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Certifications
Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies
