As a
Remote Service Engineer

You are preferably located in Stockholm, Lund, Gothenburg or Umeå.

You are responsible for:

  • Provide excellent customer service by acting as a Philips Representative, responding to inquiries, and offering telephone and remote technical support.

  • Leverage Philips tools and resources to resolve customer service events, and escalate product issues for higher-level evaluation and action when necessary.

  • Support the local service organization and oversee the follow-up and monitoring of service jobs, including performing security updates.

  • Foster cooperation with customers and within Philips, ensuring familiarity with technological advances that impact Philips products, and sometimes travel to work onsite at customer locations.

  • Enhance productivity by using remote tools and technical expertise, implementing best practices, improving processes, diagnosing problems, and applying effective solutions with appropriate follow-up actions.

You're the right fit if:

  • You hold a university-level technical education, such as a BSc or equivalent, in medical technology.

  • You has min. 3-5 years of professional engineering experience in medical technology, specifically in imaging systems,Computed Tomographyor Ultrasound orImage-guided therapy.

  • You have experience in providing technical remote support and excel at troubleshooting, logical thinking, and crafting technical solutions.

  • You demonstrate strong time management skills and interpersonal abilities, effectively communicating with teams and customers while collaborating in team environments.

  • You are fluent in Swedish and English (must), with proficiency in other Nordic languages as an advantage.

Job Description

As a

The majority of this position is targeted geographically within either Storstockholm/Mälardalen or Region Västra Götaland, but as a natural part of the service organization, travel outside this main focus area will be required, consequently willingness to travel is necessary for this role.


Your role:

  • Install, deploying, servicing and/or integrating patient monitoring hardware and software solutions.

  • Configuring, maintaining, and testing our products at customer sites and/or Philips Delivery Center in Upplands Väsby.

  • Responsibility for the whole implementation process, from planning through installation, go-live and handover.

  • Managing detailed quality documentation in adherence to medical directive standards.


You're the right fit if you have :

  • Relevant medical/electrical engineering (or similar) educational background.

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of related experience working experience with medical devices and understand the special character working in the hospitals is preferable.

  • Have a strong interest and affinity for IT solutions including knowledge on networking (CCNA, CCNP, CWNA, CWTS or equivalent) and IT infrastructures (VMWare, Hyper V, SQL Server) is preferable

  • Self-motivated, task-forced team player who is persistent in achieving the goals set.

  • Highly professional and knowledgeable approach to solving customer problems and ownership of own projects.

  • Driver's license (Swedish B) and willingness to travel

Remote Service Engineer, Ultrasound and CT

You are responsible for:

  • Acting as a Philips Representative in response to customer inquiries and providing telephone and remote technical support to our customers
  • Resolving customer service events by leveraging Philips tools and resources as needed
  • Timely escalation of customer product issues for evaluation and action by higher level support
  • Technical support for the local service organization
  • Follow-up and monitoring of performed service jobs
  • Perform security updates
  • Establish and develop good cooperation agreements with our customers and internally at Philips
  • Ensure that you are up to date on new technology that could potentially affect Philips products within your product portfolio
  • Certain parts of the job involve traveling and working onsite at customer sites
  • Driving increased productivity through utilization of remote tools and technical skills
  • Implementing best practices and process improvements while diagnosing problems, applying effective solutions and determining follow up actions

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • You have a technical education at university level or similar, BsC / Candidate in medical technology
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in engineering in medical technology in the areas of imaging systems, X-ray and Ultrasound.
  • Experience in technical remote support
  • Ability to troubleshoot, think logically and provide technical solutions authoring.
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with teams and customers
  • A good ability to meet customers and collaborate in teams are important qualities.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English (both are requirements)
  • Other Nordic languages are an advantage
  • Driving license
