A Thermal Validation Engineer at Nvidia is a key role, responsible for developing and validating the thermals of products for consumer, professional and data center markets. A Thermal Validation Engineer ensures that the temperature of components, boards and enclosures of these product are properly evaluated and managed to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
This role requires strong technical knowledge of cooling systems, thermal management, and system testing, as well as a detailed understanding of electronics and electrical assemblies. Experience in thermal simulations technologies such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is also desirable.
The Thermal Validation Engineer is expected to assess and approve the design of cooling systems and check FEA simulation results for accuracy. They will also oversee thermal test plans and corresponding data analysis to guarantee the quality of the thermal design prior to product launch.
Additionally, this role involves investigating thermal problems and proposing solutions, as well as developing models and designs for thermal profile improvement. Collaboration with software, hardware and mechanical engineers is essential to guarantee successful thermal validation.
