This role is a hybrid working model in our Toronto office long-term.

In this role, you will have two core priorities: Talent Development & Revenue Development. We view our Account Development Representatives as the next wave of Account Executives at MongoDB. A Sales Development leader at MongoDB hires outstanding talent, maps out the gaps in that rep’s skillset, holds them accountable to reaching their potential, and takes pride in turning that ADR into an AE. You will also be a key asset to our Enterprise Sales organization, partnering with regional leaders across our sales organization, you will be a crucial part of uncovering new opportunities, determining how to unlock new territories, and driving revenue into our pipeline.

Day to Day
  • Attract, hire, retain, and develop talent
  • Provide strong coaching and mentoring through a deep understanding of sales, our business model, and our sales methodology.
  • Be involved in prospect qualification and discovery calls/meetings
  • Provide weekly team performance summary as well as timely and accurate forecast to senior management
  • Cross functional collaboration to establish scalable processes for incoming lead management and follow-up SLAs and conversions
  • Develop and own KPI’s, supervise the activity of the team, track the results and drive team execution based on those metrics
  • Work closely with Field Sales and Inside Sales management to drive increased performance and align pipeline production to our Sales team's needs
  • Invest in your self-development, focusing on the skills and attributes that will make you successful in your core role and get you set for future success
What You Will Bring to the Table
  • 2+ years experience prospecting as an individual contributor and closing
  • 2+ years experience leading/managing with a track record in hiring, developing and promoting
  • Complex enterprise software experience in a comparable company (technical and multi level decision making)
  • Experience in open source software sales is a distinct advantage
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills. You must be credible with direct reports, customers, recruitment candidates, and internally across the organization at all levels including senior management
  • Top performer, Results oriented, with a track record of overachievement (President’s Club, Rep of the Year, etc.)
  • Experience using and implementing a sales methodology

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will partner with key Engineering, Product, and Product Design stakeholders to deliver critical services and features. You will begin with 1-2 key programs, aligned to time-bound goals, to steward to completion.

The right candidate for this role will be:
  • Experienced with 5+ years working in a technical capacity and/or in a project or program management role
  • Skilled at managing technical projects and working with full stack development teams using a variety of project management techniques

You will be joining a globally distributed team with a significant presence in both Europe and North America. While this role is based in the EMEA region, you will regularly collaborate closely with colleagues across different time zones. We support both office-based work in our European hubs like Dublin and Barcelona, as well as remote work in several countries (including the Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Spain, and France).

This role will be based remotely in Spain.

Candidate Profile
  • 10+ years of experience in data management systems
  • Experience with building production-level code with a large user base, robust design structure and rigorous code quality
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent practical experience, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design/architecture
  • Experience with large code bases written in C++ or another systems programming language. You'll need to trace down defects, estimate work complexity, and design evolution and integration strategies as we rewrite different components of the system
  • Passion for the theory and practice of database query engines, as well as hands-on or academic experience in the database domain
Position Expectations
  • Play a key role in defining the 12-month roadmap for Query Execution by researching state-of-the-art systems and leveraging your deep knowledge of industry trends to provide technical vision and direction
  • Take direct responsibility for delivering on long-term (6-18 month) goals to innovate in high-performance query execution and other areas of responsibility, co-ordinating initiative-level strategy and personally writing well-tested, production-ready C++ code
  • Advise management on key decisions related to our architecture and processes, and collaborate with stakeholders across the company on large initiatives
  • Influence and grow team members through active mentoring, coaching, and leading by example, helping to cultivate a strong talent bench through interviewing and knowledge sharing
Success Measures
  • In three months you’ll have contributed to the development of a project slated for the next major version, as well as fixed a few bugs in a minor version of our latest stable release series; You'll have learned about MongoDB's project lifecycle, and our long-term goals for the system
  • In six months, you’ll have taken on code review responsibilities and are playing an active role in drafting and reviewing the design for new features. You have expanded the team's horizons by presenting a favorite paper or system architecture related to query systems.
