Description:

As a Service Engineer for our process equipment, you will be part of a versatile and dynamic team responsible for both maintaining system at optimal performance and occasionally assisting to install or upgrade new ones. This role requires a broad skill set and the ability to switch seamlessly between different service activities, depending on project and customer needs.
You will work in multicultural environments and collaborate closely with a global network of technical experts. Your day-to-day tasks will demand adaptability, flexibility, and autonomy, as well as strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
In addition to technical expertise, you must be confident in communicating directly with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the process. You will be required to follow and work according to documented best known method, and you will have to document the work you perform. The position is based primarily at Grenoble/France area with travel within Europe.Key competencies:

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

KLA is looking for high-energy intern for several exciting projects in our Montbonnot (Grenoble), France location.

This opportunity will be a gateway to the KLA world to start a ground-breaking journey with one of the industry's leading semiconductor equipment companies: you will have the chance to better understand the Company and the multiple roles within it!

Specifically, this position provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of sub-components for KLA’s inspection and metrology tools. In this role you will gain hands-on experience, collaborate with top industry professionals, and unlock endless possibilities for growth.

The candidate will have in charge to lead a project and propose a new infrastructure to support our Field organization with the tooling used to calibrate and align complex semiconductor equipments.

The scope of work will be:

  • Acquire knowledge on tools operation and application
  • Acquire skills in order to perform preventive maintenance
  • Following initial tools life-cycle in the field (Installation and acceptance test)
  • Data gathering and log file analyses to find proactively possible gap or issue

  • Develop good relationships with customers
  • Summarise results in a written report or presentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Microelectronics/ Engineering Physics/ Materials or related Ph.D
  • Lab/Fab semiconductor processing experience is mandatory, plasma etch experience would be preferable
  • Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken), French is a plus
