Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax with an accounting firm, law firm or inhouse corporate with a focus on advisory
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and partnership skills

You will assist with daily risk and Profit & Loss reporting, provide detailed financial analysis, and coordinate with various front and back office support functions. Your role will focus on promoting risk and profit and loss accuracy, ensuring precise balance sheet management, and streamlining month-end close procedures. Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily risk, P&L reporting and month-end close processes

  • Support the production of daily VaR and weekly stress results

  • Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3+ years experience within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area
  • Experience doing P&L and month end close process
  • Solid understanding of financial products including derivatives
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel (VBA) and Access
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area
  • Ability and drive to improve current processes and achieve efficiencies
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with large amounts of data

Prioritizes and defines each feature to meet client and business goals, while also meeting control requirements.

  • Leads the product development lifecycle by defining requirements (in partnership with other teams), ensuring sprint inputs (e.g. design and requirements) and outputs (e.g. tested code) are as envisioned, and providing direction and smart trade off decisions for the scrum team. Collaborates with other product and requirement owners and designers to deliver end-to-end product and experience.
