We are currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Northwest Water Infrastructure Design team to support challenging and exciting projects in our region and around the country. As a member of our team, you will actively be working with our network of structural engineers responsible for conventional design and design/build projects for water and wastewater clients. You’ll be challenged with leading and designing facilities such as water and wastewater pump stations, treatment facilities for water and wastewater plants and conveyance and storage systems. This role will require you to lead the development of project specific technical reports, calculations, construction drawings and technical specifications with the support of local and national experts.

Based in a field office, you’ll balance multiple tasks each day like coordination of system access requests, procurement, managing the material in the central storage area, monitoring contractor safety and quality, material testing, and reviewing designs. We’ll rely on you to perform quantity takeoffs, track performance, create change orders, review of submittals, RFIs and other construction documents, and identify issues you see in the field.

As an
Office Engineer

Based in a field office, you’ll balance multiple tasks each day like coordination of system access requests, procurement, managing the material in the central storage area, monitoring contractor safety and quality, material testing, and reviewing designs. We’ll rely on you to perform quantity takeoffs, track performance, create change orders, review of submittals, RFIs and other construction documents, and identify issues you see in the field.

We’re looking for an emerging Scientist, Geologist, Engineer or Planner to provide technical support on projects using your understanding of permitting, chemistry, water and soil sampling, and laboratory analytical methods.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area/Northern California, you'll learn the water permitting requirements of City and California State Water Board agencies as well as project specific processes, communication pathways, and a complex program structure. During your time with us, you will manage up to 50 permitting projects per year, including being involved in planning, construction, and permit closeout phases. You’ll prepare permit applications, sampling plans, discharge summaries, soil and water management plans, and permit closeout documents. You’ll be juggling multiple tasks, so we’ll rely on you to prioritize effectively, keeping the big picture in mind.

As a vital member of our team out of
Oakland, San Francisco or San Jose, California, you’ll have the opportunity to design horizontal and vertical track alignments, and trackwork components on a variety of exciting large rail projects across the country. In this position you will be supporting various aspect of track/rail design, calculations and engineering services on both design-build and design-bid-build projects.

Working alongside a team of technicians and engineers, you’ll be responsible for creating drawings and simulations using software tools and resources supporting our clients’ overall project goals.
