As a vital member of our team out of
Oakland, San Francisco or San Jose, California, you’ll have the opportunity to design horizontal and vertical track alignments, and trackwork components on a variety of exciting large rail projects across the country. In this position you will be supporting various aspect of track/rail design, calculations and engineering services on both design-build and design-bid-build projects.
Working alongside a team of technicians and engineers, you’ll be responsible for creating drawings and simulations using software tools and resources supporting our clients’ overall project goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) License or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated professional experience on rail and transit projects.
- Professional expertise with Microstation, Power InRail, and OpenRail.
- Knowledge of FRA/DOT, AREMA, SCRRA and other local railroad criteria.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to assemble plan sets meeting client expectations.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Professional expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- 3D modeling Experience
- Experience on both Freight and Commuter Rail project
