Description:
Materials Control Coordinator is responsible for the reception, inspection, processing, storage, use, physical allocation of parts, and distribution of materials required for product assembly/manufacturing.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect and process materials according to the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).

  • Physically move materials from one location to another using hand trucks or forklifts.

  • Physically and systematically receive/deliver individual release orders to internal and external services, quantify and verify inventory.

  • Process products against purchase orders and work orders using an electronic management system.

  • Collaborate with relevant logistics and production staff to mitigate/prevent stockouts.

  • Manage/control important documents necessary for the recording, allocation, and distribution of a variety of regulated products.

  • Conduct cycle audits and physical inventory according to the schedule.

  • Participate in the reconciliation of inventory discrepancies and report discrepancies to the Team Leader.

  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and policies and quality system requirements.

  • Read and follow work instructions and bill of materials.

  • Perform other assigned tasks and/or special projects.

Quality Objectives:

  • Know and understand product recalls, concessions, non-conforming products, material identification and segregation, document configuration control, good documentation practices, requirements related to approved suppliers/Sourcing department, and DMR/DHR requirements associated with this type of position/function.

  • Know and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations for this type of position/function.

  • Complete all scheduled Quality and Compliance training on time.

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance issues and take immediate appropriate corrective actions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree OR High School Diploma / GED with 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • Proficiency in the local language (reading, writing, and speaking).

  • Excellent knowledge of basic mathematics.

  • Ability to communicate and work with others.

  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Handling skills.

  • Physically move materials from one location to another –
    Quarantine and Release
  • Physically and systematically receive/issue individual release certificates to internal and external departments, quantify and verify inventory
  • Manage/control important documents required for the registration, assignment and distribution of a variety of regulated products
  • Perform cycle audits and physical inventory according to schedule
  • Participate in the reconciliation of inventory discrepancies
  • Comply with environmental, health and safety (EHS) and quality system regulations and policies

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Supply Chain Management or Engineering (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing Engineering).

Job Description

The role of the C&TD Coordinator Intern provides critical support to overall capability and talent development efforts for supply chain and global services. Key focus areas include, but are not limited to the following:

Capability & Talent Development Support

  • Work across the C&TD environment for Supply Chain and Global Services, supporting OMLP and broader organization upskilling/reskilling initiatives.
  • Utilize technology solutions to support creation of training content, as well as curate messaging and communications for the team
  • Support analysis of training survey results and leading of continuous improvement actions
  • As identified, lead initiatives to improve capability in the C&TD approach, as well as potentially support/lead initiatives that help upskill/reskill our internal customer teams

Operations Management Leadership Program Support

  • Support the full-time OMLP and intern programs while working with the Global Program Manager
  • Collaborate across multiple sites and functional teams to gather assignment proposals and preference information from interns and OMLPs.
  • Coordinate with the OMLP early talent committee for summer intern extracurricular offerings (e.g., tours, remote site offerings, program Q&A, social events) as well as offerings for full-time OMLPs.
  • Coordinate with finance to ensure all OMLPs and interns are charged to the correct cost center, including segment-funded interns.
  • Depending on timing in the role, assist with recruitment, hiring, and placement of summer interns and other support to the full-time OMLP.
  • Help identify feedback and other insights supporting program improvements for OMLP

  • Own day-to-day Customer Visit Scheduling & Coordination activities, including the coordination of MR Scan volunteers; this may include supervision of staff carrying out these activities.

  • Be responsible for on-site hosting of visits, including room setup, material printing and other elements needed for visits.

  • Establish standards for the quality of visits, internal GEHC stakeholder and external customer experiences and addresses improvement needs proactively.

  • Ensures facility readiness for customer visits, including coordination with Facilities Management teams for physical/plant service, repairs or improvements.

  • Provide high level marketing presentations and customer demonstrations on specific GE HealthCare MR products and offerings.

Required Qualifications
  • Detail oriented, with demonstrated ability to manage concurrent tasks and deadlines

  • Direct or indirect commercial experience, with demonstrated history of roles that are customer (or stakeholder) focused

  • Intermediate knowledge of medical concepts such as human anatomy, diagnostic imaging and radiological practices and standards

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management or related field with 5 years’ work experience; or High-School Diploma with 9 years’ experience.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex schedules and agendas with multiple stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in common office management software tools such as Salesforce.com, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office/Microsoft Teams.

  • Ability to work from the GE HealthCare MR Global Headquarters in Waukesha, Wisconsin 4 to 5 days per week.
