• Contribute to market forecasts and business case for product/upgrades that are at concept stage and develop price-value map trends

• Understand customer’s needs as well as values and benefits sought for the product/service offering

• Help assess modality portfolio competitiveness and drive clear product positioning via the execution of marketing communications plans

• Support the development of global marketing plan and value proposition

• Implement regional segmentation strategy. Manage processes and programs to increase customer awareness, preference and purchase intent (e.g., lead generation campaigns)

• Contribute to the Growth Playbook and support activity of regional/operational marketing teams and ensure alignment with global marketing plan

• Monitor metrics and operating mechanisms to ensure achievement of business objectives (e.g., lead generation programs, trade show management, etc)

• Contribute to the growth of MR business as Japan's MR marketing.

S/he will also partner actively with GEHC Compliance colleagues across the entire organization on compliance matters as they relate to his/her territory.


Business partnering:

  • Maintain an understanding of key compliance risks relevant to the assigned businesses and partner with the relevant business leaders to support development of risk mitigation strategies and tactics.
  • Develop an advanced business acumen aiming at providing actionable, proactive, and compliant business solutions.
  • Partner closely with regional and local business leaders to advance and promote a culture of integrity and compliance throughout the assigned PDx and NMP business teams and organizations.

Compliance Program Management:

  • Facilitate the NMP Compliance integration roadmap.
  • Partner and ensure alignment with the GE Healthcare Compliance team to develop, and/or manage key compliance programs, policies and local procedures applying specifically to GEHC PDx and NMP in Japan.
  • Implement and facilitate implementation of company-wide Compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain and/or create comprehensive compliance metrics for operational reviews. Lead various compliance governance forums and committees including compliance review boards to address key compliance matters together and aiming at continuous improvement.
  • Support business groups in engagement and partnership with third parties to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks. Attend all relevant IRBs.
  • While partnering with the GE Healthcare Compliance team, ensure execution of the key elements of the company’s compliance auditing and monitoring program, including:
    • Defining the relevant monitoring plan to ensure business activities comply with established policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
    • Tracking and reporting results of the auditing and monitoring activities and the corrective actions taken to Compliance leadership and other internal key stakeholders as needed

Employee Education & Communication:

  • Facilitate, create, and conduct when needed compliance trainings on Pharma compliance, relevant laws and Company policies and procedures in coordination and alignment with the GE Healthcare Compliance team.
  • With the support of senior business leaders, develop Compliance awareness communication and campaign aiming at anchoring a culture of integrity

Other:

  • Partner with Global compliance colleagues on key projects and share best practices.
  • Be an active member of the PDx Legal and Compliance team and support GEHC PDX-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

  • University degree in law, finance, business, or other professional areas. Master’s and above degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5/6 years professional experience with a pharmaceutical company in Compliance, risk mitigation, investigations, or audit in Japan.
  • Excellent drafting, writing and oral communication in English and Japanese
  • In-depth understanding of regulations/Code/ laws potentially applying to PDx/NMP operations in Japan.
  • Knowledge of internationalcompliance/regulatorylaw and enforcement, including US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), UK Bribery Act, global anti-corruption laws, national health care fraud and abuse laws, drug pricing and reporting laws, trade compliance, and anti-competition laws.
  • Proven track record of advanced leadership, influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Strong business acumen, ability to detect emerging compliance trends and develop appropriate responses.
  • Ability to lead the change, be self-motivated to manage sensitive issues, and be accountable for the results.
  • Ability to have a strategic vision but also to own and develop hands on initiatives when needed
  • Highly proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment and good at managing work under a matrix organization structure and comparably complicated environment.

Description:
Develop and maintain systems, rules, and processes to ensure fulfillment of internal and external requirements. Essential Responsibilities

  • Own the QA process under, e.g., Product Release, Complaint Handling, Investigations, CAPA, Warehouse Operations and/or 3PLs, APR/PQR, Stability Data Review, Validation, Change Control Management, Training, Distribution, SOP and documentation management, etc.
  • Function as Hinseki to support the Sanyaku organization within the Japan office, with eventual progression to Sokatsu
  • Lead the preparation and execution of Quality Management Reviews for the region
  • Manage quality evaluation of warehouse operations, manufacturing sites, and external laboratories
  • Provide support to routine activities, projects, development and training relevant to area of expertise where required
  • Support continuous improvement activities regarding areas of responsibility
  • Support local business growth in line with global quality practices and local commercial priorities
  • Engaging assessment regulatory impact on product and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze & communicate proposed, new or changing requirements & devise strategies for their implementation, ensuring business goals are met. Includes liaison with other GEHC functions, industry bodies or regulators as required
  • Identify, assess and manage regulatory risk proactively and provide senior management with key data to help drive decisions
  • Engaging site inspections, preparing audits observations response as necessary
  • Own compliance assessment and remediation plans while influencing execution, communications and training for Quality matters
  • Support Global supplier quality audit activities
  • Working with local CMOs and global manufacturing to maintain continuous product quality excellence
  • Key quality support for regulatory product-specific inspections
  • Correspondence with PMDA and Tokyo Metropolitan Office Health Authority

Quality Specific Goals

- Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals , and applicable laws and regulations (GQP ministry ordinance) as they apply to this job type/position

- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

- Ensure on-time reporting of the metrics for quality management reviews.

- B.S. Degree in bioscience, chemistry, pharmaceutical, or technical field

- At least 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare products industry or other regulated industry

- At least 3-5 years of QA experience in a pharmaceutical and/or healthcare products manufacturing environment and/or country office affiliate operations environment (at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role)

- Proficient with MS Office word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications

- Proficient with ERP/WMS systems such as SAP

- Ability to identify root cause of problem and creatively problem solve to gain resolution.

- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment with little supervision.

- Quality-focused, attentive to detail and results-oriented

- Strong managerial, people guidance, project management and time-management skills
