Description:

The Systems Engineer's main mission will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls.

As a Systems Engineer in the Channel team you will:

  • Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint (Pre-sales)
  • Be the main technical resource on sales calls and answer/ educate the customer on issues ranging from features, specifications, and functionality to integration.
  • Deliver successful technical presentations, give workshops and demos.
  • Team with your CAM’ to create and maintain business plans for your focus partners.
  • Share your technical knowledge with customers/partners/events (positive feedback through eval forms).
  • Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
  • Provide assistance to identified customers with post-sales training.

We Are Looking For:

  • An insightful and influential collaborator to join our team. We encourage you to apply for this position if you have the following qualities:
  • Excellent French and English language skills.
  • It would certainly be an advantage to have already gained experience in Channel organizations.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pre-sales support with proven success.
  • Expert level knowledge in networking (LAN, WIFI, WAN, SDN, routing, switching), and network security (Next-Gen Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, encryption protocols).
  • Strong customer focus to address complex technical and business requirements with a self-motivated, positive attitude. Goal-driven, adapting to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Ability to interface with senior levels of internal / external organizations is required.
  • Expert-level verbal & written communication, presentation, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the following domains is a plus:

o Security Architectures (e.g. Zero Trust, SASE, SDWAN)
o Modern Software Architectures (e.g. DevOps, IaC)
o Cloud Architectures with at least one public cloud specialization
o Security Operations (e.g. Orchestration, Automation, SIEM Tool


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Manage your time effectively when working on multiple deals simultaneously, ensuring a positive customer experience is maintained.

  • Be the primary technical point of contact for the customer(s) and partners in close collaboration with your sales partner.
  • Continuously strive to improve knowledge around the Fortinet products and solutions, along with maintaining a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and Fortinet’s ability to provide long-lasting protection against the ever-evolving threats.
  • Oversee and conduct demonstrations of the solutions, ensuring Fortinet's offerings are well positioned against competitors.
  • Customize solutions to meet complex customer requirements, emphasizing the integration of Fortinet components for seamless security strength.
  • Manage your time effectively when working on multiple deals simultaneously, ensuring a positive customer experience is maintained.
  • Working closely together with the BDM team to support the SASE growth objectives
  • Experience in training partners and customers and giving presentations to a larger audience at events

Experience/ skills:

  • Strong background in cybersecurity, specifically with experience in the SASE domain from start-ups, hyperscales, or the high-tech industry.
  • 6+ years of customer-facing experience in technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity.
  • Good working knowledge of the SASE components including, but not limited to, advanced networking (SD-WAN, Data Center, Dynamic routing protocols), cloud (public, private, and SaaS) security, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Next-Gen FW, advanced threats, endpoint security, and data security.
  • Knowledge in public cloud such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and Oracle, and a good understanding of new-world approaches to fault tolerance, resilient architectures (high availability, failover, DR), etc
  • Proven track record of establishing deep technical and strategic relationships with senior executives, business owners, and key decision-makers.
  • Understand and can demonstrate your ability to build and maintain customer relationships, including your ability to effectively communicate technically to a range of both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Language Requirements:
    • Strong proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
    • Native-level proficiency in Dutch or French is required.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in the other national language(Dutch or French) is expected.
