Reporting to thetheQuality Engineerthis role will maintain quality engineering programs, standards and improvements within the organization.


Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost.
  • Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
  • Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP documentation
  • Metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, CMMs)
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Holds up Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers with customer interfaces as necessary on quality related issues.
  • Assures data availability and integrity for all quality related data. Consolidates and reports quality results.
  • Initiates corrective action requests as needed and tracks to satisfactory completion.
  • Assists with development and implementation of quality audits.
  • In charge of developing, applying, revising and maintaining quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
  • Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
  • Explores reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.
  • Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and research of equipment and facilities.
  • Approves product, process and equipment qualifications.
  • Provides liaison to various regulatory bodies.

Here is some of what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4 years of experience as a Planner Scheduler or similar roles
  • Engineering in the high technology electronics industry
  • Experience Water Cool System preferred
  • Experience with SMT Systems / ISO 9001
  • Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, charts, formulas)
  • Production Planning/scheduling, and DOF (Direct Order Fulfillment)
  • Previous experience in the Electronic Manufacturing or Shipping industry
  • Advance Skills in Micro Soft Office Suite / Excel / PowerPoint /
  • Learn new tools/software quickly and work/multi-task under pressure
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning / Manufacturing Execution Systems / Advanced
  • Planning and Scheduling Systems / programming / Value Stream mapping / Business Process mapping

Reporting to theEH&S Managerthewill be In charge of providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs in offices and manufacturing sites in order to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.


What a typical day looks like:

  • Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with control results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.

  • Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.

  • Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training and awareness programs.

  • Oversee proper maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures in accordance to federal, state and local regulations.

  • Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to unit, or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.

  • Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).

  • Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers.

  • Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.

  • Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment and materials.

  • Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures.

  • Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team,

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.

  • +7 years of related experience in EH&S or related position.

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word.)

  • Documentation skills

  • Ability to work effectively with others.

  • Supervisor previous experience

  • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry.

  • Safety Certifications.

  • Specific program experience i.e. Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Machine Safety, Risk Assessments (JHA, JSA, RA), Electrical Safety, Confined Space, Emergency Preparedness, Ergonomics, PPE, Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and Arial Work Platforms (AWP), Hearing Conservation, Working at Heights, Incident Analysis (Fishbone, 5-Why)

  • ISO14001, 45001

*Inspect and test products at various stages in the production process.
*Establish testing procedures to determine a product's dimensions and its mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
*Set up and perform testing on materials, parts, or finished products to measure product performance under a variety of conditions.
*Responsible for test results documentation.
*After products have been fully tested, the quality control lead evaluates the data.
*Prepare summaries to show how the product might differ from existing standards of quality and reliability.
*Suggest changes in how products are made to achieve the best quality possible.
*Recommend methods to minimize the amount of scrap, or leftover material, which is thrown away after a product has been manufactured.
*Areas in which quality control lead can specialize include: product design, purchasing, inventory control, or research and development.
*Select and assign quality control duties, and evaluate the performance of the team in their assigned role.
*Arrange trainings as related to improving quality control measures and ensures that labor relations requirements are met.
