Where do you start if you want to change the world?
• A Bachelor and/or Masters degree in economics, tax law, accounting or equivalent – a specialism or supplementary degree in taxation is a plus.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in EMEIA VAT compliance, either in industry or with other service providers.

• Basic understanding of other compliance activities such as statutory accounting and corporate tax compliance.

• Working knowledge of Dutch in addition to a strong working knowledge of English
• Basic understanding of IT-systems and VAT/GST reporting solutions as well as the changing legislative landscape and the impact on VAT compliance.
• Proactive and motivated, capable of independently tackling challenges and managing projects while also excelling in team environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills paired with effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Organized and adaptable, with a desire to learn, develop, and fluency in both English and Dutch.

Als Senior Consultant Tax Compliance ga je aan de slag binnen een internationaal en enthousiast team. Het waarborgen van de aangifteprocessen en het bewaken van termijnen op onder andere het gebied van inkomstenbelasting, payroll, sociale verzekeringen, staat centraal.

Daarbij heb je een centrale rol binnen het compliance team en fungeer als contactpersoon voor de client, de werknemers op uitzending, ons eigen mondiale netwerk en de Belastingdienst. En verder zijn je werkzaamheden:

  • Het inhoudelijk controleren van belastingaangiften inkomstenbelasting en het zelf opstellen van de meer complexe belastingaangiften;
  • Het opstellen van bruto-netto berekeningen, payrollschema’s en Tax equalisation berekeningen;
  • Controleren van opgestelde 30%-aanvragen;
  • Controleren van opgestelde A1 aanvragen;
  • Het opstellen van bezwaarschriften en het nakijken van bezwaarschriften die zijn opgesteld door Compliance consultants;
  • Het verbinden en aansturen van een team van Compliance consultants, werkstudenten en stagiaires bij hun werkzaamheden.

Samen met de Tax Compliance Manager evalueer je de werkprocessen op de klant, assisteer je bij interne en externe controles, risicomanagement en denk je mee over automatisering van die processen. Dit doe je in multiculturele teams met collega’s uit zowel Nederland als collega’s in het buitenland. Kortom, afwisselend werk, persoonlijk contact en ruimte voor groei en ontwikkeling.

• VAT Compliance Oversight: Monitor, review, and approve indirect tax data, reports, and returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance VAT compliance processes and keep up with legislative and business changes affecting systems.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and support junior team members, both onshore and offshore.
• Collaboration and Development: Work closely with VAT controllers and senior managers, and engage in training to support personal and professional growth.

Where do you start if you want to change the world?
• A Bachelor and/or Masters degree in economics, tax law, accounting or equivalent – a specialism or supplementary degree in taxation is a plus.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in EMEIA VAT compliance, either in industry or with other service providers.

• Basic understanding of other compliance activities such as statutory accounting and corporate tax compliance.

• Working knowledge of Dutch in addition to a strong working knowledge of English
• Basic understanding of IT-systems and VAT/GST reporting solutions as well as the changing legislative landscape and the impact on VAT compliance.
• Proactive and motivated, capable of independently tackling challenges and managing projects while also excelling in team environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills paired with effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Organized and adaptable, with a desire to learn, develop, and fluency in both English and Dutch.
