Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve issues on your engagements demonstrating a broad technical and people skillset.
  • Prepare work plans and review electronic data, accounting, financial and non-financial records. An ability to see the “wood from the trees”.
  • Ensure high quality working papers and analysis by team members.
  • Prepare client deliverables including forensic and investigation reports. Present findings to clients.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent, degree in Forensic studies would be a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the Forensics field (Anti-Bribery & Corruption, and Fraud), risk management and compliance experience in large professional services firms.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in Iraq.
  • Industry-related certification (e.g., Certified Fraud Examiner and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)).

  • Strong understanding of expectations of regulators. Knowledge of other jurisdictions’ AML regulations and environment, and practical experience in the industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of the global risk and regulatory environment, especially developments in the FCC space.
  • Graduate degree in law, finance or commerce preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong planning, execution and reporting skills.
  • Analytical skills: specifically, the ability to assess and decompose financial services industry processes utilizing a risk and control focus.
  • Exposure of MENA region will be an advantage.
  • Arabic proficiency is a must. Good English communication skills.
  • Experienced in of FCC-related technology projects, such as payments screening, transaction monitoring, &/or customer risk rating systems preferably at a large/ complex financial institution.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and laws related to financial crime, such as the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions.
  • Track record with a leading consulting firm in the MENA region
  • Iraqi Nationals is a requirement.

Your key responsibilities

As Senior Consultant you will be required to work effectively as a team member, draw on your knowledge and experience to solve complex issues and support the MENA local Partner(s) and senior executives, and build relationships with MENA internal clients and peers.

As a Senior Consultant

  • Everything you will be involved in comes down to providing excellent customer service and helping our teams do the same. To qualify for the role, you must have.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related discipline. Alternatively, a degree in business, accounting, finance, with additional IT qualifications.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience of working as IT risk consultant or an IT auditor for a public accounting firm, professional services firm, technology company, telecom company or a financial services company, or comparable experience as an IT/IS consultant.
  • Relevant experience areas include, but not limited to, IT Risk assessment and management, Digital Trust, Mobile Technology assessments, Emerging Technologies (Robotics, IoT, Cloud and Blockchain), ERP control validations (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics), systems and networking technologies, IT/Business process and internal control assessments, internal audit engagements, external audit integration, application of data analytics, and/or third-party reporting, etc.
  • Fluent Arabic and/or English communication skills at a professional level.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with out of box thinking abilities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent, degree in Forensic studies would be a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the Forensics field (Anti-Bribery & Corruption, and Fraud), risk management and compliance experience in large professional services firms.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in Iraq.
  • Industry-related certification (e.g., Certified Fraud Examiner and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)).
