Your key responsibilities

You will support and collaborate closely with the Global Analytics team lead and other pillar leads to scope, explore and deliver advanced data science/ML projects that meet the requirements of the business in driving growth or creating efficiencies:

This analysis will involve key strategic pieces such as:

  • Machine Learning driven financial forecasts for each part of our firm to inform EYs planning cycle and talent strategy
  • Predicting the revenue potential of each of EYs services on each of our clients as well as predicting the next best action in terms of business development within that client
  • Producing data driven recommendations into how our accounts can optimise their service delivery in order to improve margins
  • Create and manage a best in class data management framework and architecture that can be leveraged by agentic AI

Across your project responsibilities you will be required to:

  • Use agile best practices to effectively manage the priorities and workflow of your team across multiple projects
  • Ensure high standard are maintained in terms of your teams work – ensuring robust processes for validation, testing and release management are followed throughout the team
  • Be a thought leader – having a strong curiosity about EYs needs when it comes to predictive insights and using this combined with an expert level of know how to proactively drive recommend next steps
  • Coach and develop the team to ensure that they have the right skills to succeed and putting plans in place to improve weak spots
  • Communicate developments eloquently to a range of stakeholders including non technical senior leaders in a way that is relevant to them, as well as with other technical teams that we collaborate with

As a senior leader in the data and analytics space, you will already have a leading knowledge in data engineering and machine learning and you will use this to drive innovation across the team, creating an environment to support the development of new ideas and continuous improvements to ways of working, both within the analytics team and in the teams we work with.

You will coach junior colleagues to enable them to carry out analysis for senior leaders. This may include managing of workload, quality assessment and evaluation, skill transfer and supervision, deliverable expectations and timeframes across multiple projects.

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • An excellent track record in leading teams developing data science/machine learning solutions to meet the business question being asked
  • The ability to generate rapport and build trust with key stakeholders of the team
  • The ability to determine, produce and clearly explain a visual story around the analysis to land the intended message with key stakeholders
  • A strong track record of proactive innovation where you have autonomously gone from identifying a business requirement to successfully incepting a new solution that meets it
  • Strong experience creating and managing automated ETL processes for machine learning pipelines and the management of relational database schemas
  • Strong practical experience of performing exploratory analytics through to creating data science / machine learning pipelines using a combination of Python and SQL

Ideally, you’ll also have some of the following:

  • Experience with Graph databases and metadata management is advantageous
  • Experience of LLMs using both vectorized data and structured data is advantageous
  • Experience of PowerBI advantageous

  • Build and manage Jinja macros to promote reusability and maintainability.
  • Implement Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) Type 1 and Type 2 using DBT.
  • Create and maintain custom materializations for advanced use cases.
  • Write Python scripts to support data processing, testing, automation, and integration tasks.
  • Work extensively with Snowflake for data transformation, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Manage database objects (schemas, tables, stages) and perform performance tuning within Snowflake.
  • Use DBT Cloud for job orchestration, testing, and documentation.
  • Use Git for version control and follow CI/CD practices for safe deployment.
  • Interact and communicate with the onsite teams directly to understand the requirement and determine the optimum solutions
  • Provide product and design level functional and technical expertise along with best practices
