Platforms & Data Services, (PDS)are a key strength and differentiator for Citi TTS and a key driver of our client experience. The PDS Product Manager will work across PDS on product development and commercialization – to drive product requirements for our Japan clients and align with global direct. They will be expected to be able to work across all areas of PDS, but also to develop specialized knowledge in particular product sets such as onboarding. This is a challenging role, working with Sales, Product, Technology, Operations, Legal, Finance, and ICRM, as well as having frontline interaction with clients. The role will work in a fast-paced global environment with close partnership with cluster and global product teams.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Work with the Japan Head of PDS, other Japan PDS Product Managers, and regional and global teams on product strategy in line with the requirements of Japan clients and business, aligning to and influencing the direction of global product strategy.
  • Own and lead the end-to-end delivery of product changes, including understanding complex use cases and regulations, requirement specification, managing dependencies leading up to release, and driving commercialization, with strong partnership with teams across Sales, Product, Technology, Operations, Legal, Finance, and ICRM as well as with local and regional/global partners.
  • Be responsible for Key Performance Indicators related to product commercialization and client satisfaction, and understand, develop, and execute strategy for influencing and exceeding them.
  • Responsible for product commercialization including client co-creation, evolving market and technology trends, assessing competitive landscape and collating competitor intelligence.
  • Deliver digital client value propositions and competitive differentiation to achieve the status of preferred banking partner to our clients.
  • Be a client advocate and collate client feedback in product design process to ensure excellent user experience for utilizing PDS capabilities and products.
  • Represent PDS to complete timely regulatory reporting for PDS components with partnership with risk and control, legal and compliance, operations teams etc.
  • Partner with client services and operations teams to perform service reviews, resolve client issues, address exceptional requests to ensure etc.
  • Support the organization and plan for PDS client events in Japan.
  • Champion client and competitor market research, drive product innovation, enhance product roadmap to deliver an advanced set of client centric solutions.
  • Appropriately assess risk in business, product delivery and management decisions. Abide by Citi’s core philosophy on risk management and mitigation ensuring adherence to controls and governance.
