In this role, you will develop and demonstrate deep domain knowledge, product expertise, and an understanding of complex customer use cases and deployment models. You’ll deeply understand the needs of our customers, set the vision for the product grounded in those needs, and partner with cross-functional teams to build it iteratively.

• Drive early discovery work, using findings to craft roadmaps, leading and designing with a team to bring it to life.
• Identify the right problems to solve, run and synthesize research, sketch and prototype solutions, make hi-fi visuals.
• Earn trust with cross-function partners by seeking out their points of view, collaborating regularly and inviting them into research and co-creation with the team and customers. Advocate for prioritization of design-centered product enhancements grounded in research and analysis.
• Present persuasively. Be able to tell the story of a project and build prototypes that precisely articulate design rationale.

• 8+ years of professional experience designing and delivering products in cross-functional teams from strategy to delivery.
• A portfolio full of great case studies and even better prototypes, including case studies leveraging AI research and design tools.
• Expertise and experience designing for AI products and/or features.
• Knowledge of the networking domain or experience in a related product or field is a plus.
• Experience working on technically complex B2B enterprise products.
• Aligned teams around customer-centered design decisions, using UX methodologies and tools (double-diamond, personas, journey mapping, dual agile, lean ux, prototypes), and influenced adoption by those who aren’t familiar with strategic UX engagements.
• A proven track record of shipping large scale enterprise products.

• Develop Go-to-Market Strategy for new and existing products: Develop and execute the GTM strategy for hybrid infrastructure solutions, identifying adoption patterns, use cases, target markets and customer segments operating across virtualized and containerized environments
• Customer-Centric Product Evolution: Engage directly with early adopters and design partners to understand infrastructure pain points, application dependencies, and operational requirements. Transform these insights into product requirements and positioning that addresses real-world hybrid cloud scenarios
• Develop Core Product Positioning, Messaging, and Differentiators: Craft compelling and consistent positioning and messaging around the differentiators that align with the overall product strategy and resonate with customers and partners. Work with inbound product management, engineering, and the field to identify and articulate the outstanding value propositions of Cisco Infrastructure and Security products, ensuring they are communicated and understood by the target audiences. • 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure/platform technology with at least 5 years in product marketing or technical product management
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical experience
• Hands-on experience with both VMware vSphere/ESXi and Kubernetes/OpenShift environments
• Proven track record working with enterprise customers on infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Deep understanding of application architectures, infrastructure dependencies, and platform integration challenges

• Direct experience with infrastructure transformation and application modernization projects
• Knowledge of specific technologies: vMotion, Storage vMotion, Kubernetes operators, Helm charts, persistent volumes, and CNI plugins
• Understanding of enterprise concerns: compliance, data gravity, licensing optimization, and TCO modeling
• Experience with related technologies: Tanzu, Anthos, AWS Outposts, Azure Arc
• Experience presenting to business and technical audiences at conferences like KubeCon, VMworld, or Red Hat Summit
• Experience speaking publicly to an executive-level audience

Your Impact

In this role, you will drive the develop or a new workload platform leveraging Kubernetes, Cilium and Kubevirt with a focus on ease of use. You’ll collaborate with industry leading internal Cisco teams, like Isovalent, with the goal of making our platform’s network seamlessly co-exist with customer’s existing network topology. You’ll also partner with our AI Software & Platform team to leverage agentic AI for running playbook/automation to simplify migration of workloads and integrations from existing workload platforms to our platform.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years or Master’s degree with 6+ years or PhD with 3+ years of platform software development experience to including programming with GoLang or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience using Kubernetes for automating, scaling and managing workload applications.
• Demonstrated experience with open-source operating systems such as Linux
• Demonstrate experience using database management tools such as SQL
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with remote procecure calls (RPCs) like gRPC, Thrift and JSON RPC
• Experience with tools such as Cilium, Kubevirt, KVM and eBPF
• Experience with VMware vSphere and NSX
• Experience with platforms like OpenShift
• Experience with open-source tools like OpenStack
